I've had this notebook in continuous, heavy use for 3 years and it's held up great
I came here to repurchase this notebook and realized I should leave a review. I bought this notebook 3 years ago for bullet journaling as an alternative to the pricey LEUCHTTURM1917. The Lemome is sturdy, has held up to lots of handling, and still looks great. I don't see any markings from handling the cork cover, and my only scrape-the-bottom-of-the-barrel "complaints" are about the elastic band and the signature connections. The elastic band is slightly less elastic-y. But again, I've had this for 3 years and now the band is only holding back a few pages, so it's not as stretched. The signatures sometimes pull away from each other more than I like, so you can see into the binding. But, none of the binding threads have broken so this is not a big deal to me, it is just occasionally visually displeasing. The paper is thick, smooth, and I haven't experienced any bleeding with any of my pens, including Sharpie pens. Minimal ghosting, great writing experience, and the notebook lays flat. I considered buying a different notebook now that I've filled this one, but after looking around, I can't find anything that can beat the price and quality of the Lemome.

Fantastic book for bullet journaling, sketchnoting, and handwriting practice.
I'm pretty new to the world of Bullet Journaling. In fact, it's a little too simplistic for my needs. I created several trackers, but there are many other things that I want to capture, but not in a daily diary prose type format. I also incorporate sketchnoting (google verbal to visual if you don't know what this is) into my journaling. I've been playing with some layouts on dot grid paper that I printed out. I've looked at several books, but they either didn't have enough pages or the pages felt cheap/low quality. After looking at several reviews online, I thought I would give the Lemome A5 book a try. Here's what I think:Pros:* Very aesthetically pleasing. - I like the leather look of the cover and the detailed stitching along the spine.* I really like the book mark and the pocket in the back (which I use to put layouts to try in), I like the pen loop on the outside.* They paper is nice and heavy. - I like the ivory color of the paper and the dots are easily visible but not distracting from my layouts. - I have been using colored ball point pins to test out several layouts and not only is there no bleed through like with some other papers, but you cannot see what is on the other side from the reverse no matter how much I fill in. This is a huge bonus for me. I haven't tested with markers, but I think as long as I stay away from traditional Sharpies and stick to the super fine ones, those should be ok. There are other markers I'm interested in using that I don't think will be a problem either.Cons:I haven't really found any cons, so much as things that would have made me like it even more, so I'll list those:* It would be nice for me if there were 3 bookmark ribbons. - They don't have to be different colors but I have three trackers I use most and they are not adjacent so I'd like to mark those with the ribbons.* It would be nice if there was a way to fit 2 standard sized pens in the pen loop ( I use Foray Advanced Ink Ballpoint Needle Tip 0.7mm for most of my writing, but I use a red and a black so it would be helpful to have that.* While I know it would make the book extra thick, it would be really cool to have pocket in the back (probably a zip or velcro?) to be able to store additional pens for color coded tracking and not have to carry them in something separate. - I know that one would be difficult and add between 1/4" and 3/8" thickness to the book, which some may not like. - I like the A5 size, but I'd like to keep the pens with the book.* It would be cool if you could get this in black, blue, green, red, and white in addition to the brown.* I would like the ability to order the book with custom lettering on the cover in both left to right and right to left options.* I would also like to be able to order the book where the book starts on the "back" for right to left languages.* I would like a case of these books so I can give a few to friends. :-)I highly recommend this product to anyone interested in journaling or tracking things in their lives. Or even just practicing your handwriting. The dot grid will really help with that also.

Lower Price, MUCH Higher Quality of Paper
My new Lemome journal is well worth the $14 I paid!! There is minimal ghosting after trying my black pens. Only the Sharpie marker (not the pen, which was fine), the Chartpak manga (of course) & the Tombow Monotwin bled through. Ghosting for the other pens I tried is either non-existent or you have to strain yours eyes to see it.The Lemome has no Table of Contents pages & it lacks page numbers, but I can count, plus I’ll write all my page numbers in 💜 PURPLE 💜 This journal has a pocket in the back, a single ribbon bookmark as compared to 2 for the Leuchtturm1917, a pen holder along the spine that is an awesome perk, cream colored pages, & the dots are a bit on the darker side. This journal has 191 pages & it lies FLAT without effort!! 😍The journal comes packaged in a shrink-wrapped box with a small peep hole so you can see the color of the cover prior to opening the box. I ordered using Amazon Prime & received the journal direct from the company, Lemome, located in Lexington, Kentucky well within 48 hours of placing my order. I can't wait to start filling up the pages!I love it! This one is a KEEPER!! Scroll through to the last 2 pics where you can see pages from the Lemome & my now RETIRED Leuchtturm behind it. I was quite unhappy with the poor paper quality of the Leuchtturm. The ghosting on the left-hand page of the Leuchtturm is from the reverse of that page AND you can see through to the previous page. The final picture is the REVERSE side of the page from the Lemome on which I did my pen test so you can see the ghosting & how the heavier pens like the Sharpie marker do bleed through, but they bleed through on just about anything. I knew this would happen. I only wanted to see how m uch bleed through there would be as that tells me if the paper will be able to handle watercolors (it can, but will warp so just pile some books on top to flatten it again).I’m so happy I upgraded to the Lemome because there is NO ghosting & it's also cheaper than the Leuchtturm!
