Good intro to a round-bottom shoe
I have a new hammer toe problem compounded by limited padding on the balls of my feet and needed a shoe to help take the pressure off the front of my foot. My podiatrist recommended a round-bottom sneaker. These Shape-ups are a good starter shoe at a low cost and do help somewhat improve my problem. However I will likely graduate to the MBT.The Pros of this LIV-Smart: lightweight and breathable, reasonable price, good looking for a sneaker, helps better distribute your weight while walking, and does improve your body posture while wearing them.Con (sort of): the toe box is a bit too flexible (meaning there's less support for the front part of your foot) and is the least supportive part of the shoe. If you are walking for exercise, this means as your stride rolls from heel to toe, the front of the shoe bends somewhat, which doesn't happen in a true curved bottom shoe. But this action actually helps make the shoe easier to adapt to for first-time users. The MBTs on the other hand require a user breaking-in period and can be awkward to get used to.Update: I've had these shoes for two months now and as a result of wearing them the majority of the time, both as every-day and walking shoes, they have absolutely helped my hammer toe problem. I am purchasing a second pair.

First Shape-ups and I like it
I was hesitant on getting shape-ups. It seemed like a trendy thing that would pass after a while. However when I became pregnant and my back started to hurt, I started looking for options. My mom suggested shape-ups because of the fantastic arch support. These are really sleek compared to the originals and much lighter. Just like any shape-ups (so I've been told) they take some getting used to. A few nights I'd come home and my calves would be killing me, but I guess that just means they are doing their job. I've had less back pain and my feet feel most comfortable when I put these shoes on, compared to other sneakers I own.As far as the color, I am usually a black shoe person. I feel that white shoes make my feet look bigger than they are. I thought I would go out of my comfort zone and got the grey/blue. They are really cute. It's a dark grey and it's a true Turquoise color. I wear them everyday no matter what I'm wearing just like a neutral. They wear well, hard to scuff with the mesh in front, the bottom has stayed pretty clean. I've washed the white laces only once so far. But then again, I'm only walking in these things, if I were a runner or something I'm sure they'd have more wear.

Amazing shoe!
I have been searching for a comfortable tennis shoe for when I do a lot of walking. I have been looking for months and finally decided to give this shoe a try. From the picture and description I must have missed the fact that this is a shape-up (I had been purposely staying away from them) but this shoe has a much smaller hump in the middle than the standard Shape-Up. I tried them on and it does feel like you are walking on air (the hump in the middle only took a day to get used to). They are extremely light weight and they breathe so your feet don't get all sweaty and stinky. I have only had them a few weeks so far but I try to wear them any chance I get right now. Every time I put them on I feel like I have more energy and feel more active. My feet are comfortable and feel supported. They are also CUTE!! (I have the White Pink ones)- Laura J.

Pretty comfy
I bought this shoe because my foot surgeon recommended it. I had a toe fusion done and since the dr didnt want me baring too much weight on my toe he said buy this shoe. I ordered it through amazon and when I received it began to wear it and it did in fact prevent my big toe from touching the ground I actually used my heel more then anywhere else. It is a very comfortable shoe and after wearing it and walking on it for a long period of time my thighs became sore but I dont know and i can say it tones your body theres a lot of research behind it not proven to do so. But it does make you work to walk.

Comfortable and light
This is my second pair of shape ups, and I am really happy with both pairs I have. This pair is lighter and very comfortable. They breathe really well so they work great for walking especially on a hot day. The shoes are very light and it almost feels like they arent even on. I didnt buy them to "get in shape" I just wanted a nice pair of comfortable shoes and they work great for that. They do not make my walk feel like any more of a work out than a normal pair of shoe. If you are buying this shoe for comfort then its a great pair, if you want to get more out a work out it may not make much of a difference though.

I was skeptical when I got it, but
I actually ordered a 1/2 size big because they didn't have my size, but they fit fine, I have a wider foot so it was probably a good idea, I heard that these can run a bit slim. I was skeptical when I got these in the mail, maybe they weren't for a wide foot like mine. But now that I've been wearing them for weeks I love them. They are very comfy and that "sliponability" is a great factor for me. I'm a couple months pregnant so I bought them just for daily wear, but I plan to walk a LOT as the summer begins, and I feel confident that these shoes will help me out. :)

comfy as a slipper
These sneakers are very comfy and have good arch support and they're not bad looking - i think all sneakers are fairly ugly- But i miss my shape ups for my daily 4 mile trek. They kept my legs and butt better toned. These don't seem to do anything in those areas. But what these sneakers have going for them is that they're very cushy and soft feeling. So if you're looking for a very comfortable lightweight sneaker that barely feels like you're wearing one you should love these.

Good walking shoes
These shoes are very comfortable and love how they feel on the ball of my feet with a lot of support. The only thing I didn't like is my feet are average width and they feel a little tight on the sides. The material is a little thing too, but that allows for breathing room during a walk, run or working out. Overall, I like the colors and the style. Just wish they would have given a little more room on the sides for me feet and not felt so tight.

So Comfortable
These are by far the best trainers that I have ever purchased and they are not the most expensive that I have ever purchased. I can wear them all day and my feet are feeling good at the end of the day. I have a painful foot condition that the doctors are puzzled to diagnose, however, in these trainers my feet are so much better already. Highly recommend these and highly recommend the service.

A Comfortable Bargain
I am very pleased with these trainers and have worn them for days at Center Parcs so can confirm they are comfortable for walking and ..so far...waterproof I also think I've got a bargain as I couldn't find them cheaper anywhere. The delivery was very quick and the packaging excellent. A box in a bag! Just right. No reams of paper, boxes or bubblewrap. Excellent!

Mum loves them.
The 3rd party supplier dispatched them very quickly, so my computer illiterate mum could take them away on holiday to the peak district and she loves them.Obviously I can't say anymore about them as they're not mine, but she wears them all the time she can, so it must be some form of testament to the comfort of these trainers.

Bright attractive trainers
Can make your feet ache and I found them not very good on the treadmill. However, good for playing badminton as the design caters for the playing style of the sport.........on your toes. The bottom of the trainers are curved.Would i buy them again? Probably not, i prefer normal trainers.

They are like wearing slippers!
I have an on going knee problem and find walking difficult in normal shoes but these are extremely comfortable and I am now able to walk into town and home with nominal pain. I would recommend these to everyone. I am a size 6 and they fit really well.
