Spectacular
This was the first time I bought this brand. I usually buy the Greenfield or Streits brand. I decided to try this brand. It was spectacular. Texture, flavor and over all appearance was great. I sauteed a large finely diced onion, four stalks of celery finely diced, 12 ozs sliced white mushrooms in about 3 tablespoons olive oil until tender. I seasoned all the veggies with a little garlic and onion powder, as well as dried parsley. I used two packages of farfel. I browned them slightly for a few minutes. I used three 12 oz cups of water and 2 heaping tablespoons of Better Than Bullion chicken broth in the water. I added the water a little at a time (a third of the water -- 3 times) until absorbed cooking on a medium heat, uncovered. When all the liquid is absorbed and the farfel is plump and tender, it's done. I will most definitely buy this again. We loved it with our holiday brisket, roasted potatoes and roasted carrots. You won't be sorry purchasing this farfel. Outstanding.

Best side dish with chicken
Farfel is a small rounded noodle. I cook it with chopped onion and sliced mushrooms in a seasoned chicken broth till tender. I then drain it and steam it till hot. Serve as a side dish with gravy on it with the chicken. Yum.

This is it!!!! I finally found my farfel
Have been looking for farfel since Manischewitz stopped making it years ago. Recommended I google Amazon, found this, bought this, made it with my grandma’s recipe minus the homemade schmaltz….excellent.

Not as tasty as others
I used the farfel as a side dish with brisket, using my late mother-in-law’s recipe. I am used to having a flatter larger piece of farfel. The taste was good but not as nutty. It’s ok but if I find something closer to what I am used to I think I would buy it.

Delicious
I purchase your farfel every few months and love it. I made it when relatives came in town and they raved about the taste. I make it as a side dish with onions, mushrooms, and beef broth. Add some water and pepper and simmer until done. Just like grandma made it. Delicious.

Finally...Farfel
Like other reviewers, I searched every grocery store with a 25 mile radius of where I live and couldn't find it. Eureka!!! At last. In the old days, we sautéed with schmaltz, but used butter, onions, mushrooms and chicken stock. I was brought back to my grandmothers , My husband has never had farfel and he asked for it the next might. A big hit in my house.
