This brush is not only great for travel but in general it is just an awesome brush. Keeps a point, holds a great amount of water. Just can't say enough, love it!

I really love this book and brush set. I've bought it for myself and also to give as gifts. I've also bought the book(s) without the brush when I've needed to replace a filled one. I like the size of the book and the quality of paper- sturdy, nice texture, doesn't bleed or cockle ( unless you drench it). The elastic brush holder will also accommodate thin barrelled mechanical pencils, many regular brushes, or thin barrelled water brushes. I only wish that Pental made the same sized book in a vertical format too. I just noticed that the price is way cheaper now (on the day I'm writing this) than in the past, which makes it an even better deal. The brush is large enough to avoid the scratchy marks that the smaller travel brushes in some paint sets make. The handle length is comfortable too and the bristles hold a reasonable amount of water and retain their shape.

Ok. This is such a fun addition to your art supplies! I hate being bored and I am really trying to live in the old fashioned "real world" of hands on. I know that picking up your phone/tablet and texting or playing a game has become most peoples "go to" remedy for boredom but I am holding on to the old fashioned hands on creative expression. So..... I have had several of these and enjoyed them so much. Just carry it with you and with the high quality brush attached fill in your extra moments with a spontaneous expression of creative beauty. I have a small travel paint kit that stores water that I carry in my purse and I'm prepared for the moment! Have fun!

I already like the Pentalic pads having bought so many in the past. The only complaint I would have is that the brush, once reversed to use, is bent. Clearly mass produced. Makes it uncomfortable to use when needing to twist it for the point. Rated or half for the pad but not a good rating for the brush.

For a travel brush, this not fit for purpose. Tried to separate the two ends of the brush prior to fitting them together for painting, but impossible to get apart without using pliers. Brush and handle would not then re-assemble. End cap came off forward part, revealing shoddy bit of manufacture where woodwork had been shaved down with what looks like pencil sharpener to get it to fit into end cap. Bought 2 of these brushes; have only opened one from its packaging, would like to return both for full refund but can't get a returns label from Amazon.com to do this - perhaps you can help?

colours come out very bright, quite impressed. Brush is fun, and very handy.
