What a bargain! Well-made, useful torches, batteries INCL!
Must admit this was an impulse buy. Delighted with the 3 little torches. When you think that the bodies are metal, look nice, and are well made, and the batteries are included too, the price really does represent a bargain. Very handy for the glove box in the car, or to pop in a coat pocket on a dark night. The LED lights are bright too, these give a good beam for their size. The on-off switch is a push botton on the bottom of the torch - the only potential snag is that it could get switched on by mistake if carried in a bag or pocket I suppose. There's even a little lanyard for attaching the torch to a belt or a bag, too. What value!

Would make a great gift - few will guess their actual cost!
At approx £1.65 per torch, complete with batteries, this must surely be amazing value for money! I had previously bought the Rolson LED magnetic lamp with hook and was very satisfied with that purchase. These torches have a more concentrated light and like the other product are sufficiently compact to fit in a pocket. For the money the quality is very good and my only criticism relates to the screw thread which is used on the base of the torch to fit the batteries. Care is needed to avoid a crossed thread. Hopefully, the batteries will last a fair amount of time and when they become discharged it will probably be cheaper to junk the item and buy another one! If you especially want the silver coloured torches then you could be disappointed because I received a black torch and 2 dark grey torches. Personally, I think that these colours are more classy than the ones illustrated. I think that these torches would make a great present and few recipients would guess their real cost!

Useful for home and pocket but budget nonetheless
I ordered this pack of LED torches on a recommendation by a friend. He said, "...get a pack, they're very good value, useful for everything in and outdoors, and they give off a good light, much better than normal bulbs, and the batteries last a while". Pleased to report that these torches are as he reported, except I cannot vouch for the longevity of the batteries yet.The torches were purchased for various uses. One in each bedroom on the bedside tables for evening strolls across the landing to the lav. And one for the dark cupboards downstairs. My wife took one to work with her and used it for lighting up the pitch areas on her way home and was very pleased indeed with it...meaning I'll probably be looking at getting some more. There are a couple of points (this is why one star got knocked off) I'd like to bring up. First is the stupid length of the so called 'wrist strap'. It's ridiculous. Wrist strap it most definitely is not! In fact, I think that it would be fair so suggest that this is actually an improper description based on the actual size of it and should be changed. For your information, the actual length of the attached 'strap' from the mini split ring connecting it to the torch to the end of the strap is 8cm. It gets worse; there is a cleat holding the strap together to create the 'loop' to supposedly stick a mit through, so the usable size (the aperture to stick a hand through) is just 10cm circumference. Hmm, if you have a wrist of under 10cm in circumference then you're not exactly average. I would imagine only a small child's hand would be able to slip through such a hole but not anyone else's. I am a biggish bloke and can get no more than two fingers through it side by side...just so you know. Also, the torch is too big for a key chain, so this seems to be a useless extra, unless you need to tie it to a bag or something....The other thing is that one of the three torches flickers when in use. It is quite infuriating as the light is bright and tinged blue. The other two torches are fine. You can see the flicker most of the time. I think it maybe something to do with the cheap contacts inside, highlighting the fact that these are budget torches. The 3 AAA batteries slip into a 'battery caddie' and the caddie is then inserted back into the torch cavity. The contacts are on the top and bottom of this caddie. All in all very useful. Good bright light that lights up a fairly wide area in pitch darkness (tested) but does not have any great distance.I think £2.50 would be a better price point for each torch, so £7.50 max for the pack. The batteries are giveaway budget affairs so cost peanuts to include, but better than having no batteries with it at all. But all said and done I'd probably buy another pack if I couldn't find a similar product cheaper. Bear in mind that for every torch it means replacing three x AAA batteries. So you may be better off buying some hybrid low drain, long life rechargeables to use with them...better for you and less impact on the environment...well I think so.

Great little torches
The media could not be loaded. Actually really impressed with these little torches. Seem solidly built and provide a surprisingly strong light considering their size and price. Very worth while if you are someone like me who fears blackouts, I pop them around the house so I can grab one easily in any emergency. They are also really lightweight so can pop one in your handbag or whatever. Really easy to operate with a large push button on the end. Excellent value for money.Video shows how to change the batteries - I don't know why other people are having issues. After this video I easily changed them back, I'm not having any problem changing the batteries.

1 didn’t work
1 of the torches didn’t work at all and half of the batteries had expired - but considering the price it still seemed a reasonable deal. They are lovely and lightweight with a really good light.

Good price and light/brightness, but cannot find AAA batteries that will fit.
I got these on a lightning deal and thought that even for the price if they were so-so I'd still have caught a bargain. However I was initially very impressed with these. I expected flimsy units but they are quite solid. Later on I found a fatal flaw that has made me far less impressed (see more below).I saw some comments saying the light didn't reach very far, and it's true it doesn't, but it depends on what you're after. This is fine for seeing where you are walking, easily reaches 5 metres (probably more) and I never felt it was inadequate. That said, I'm updating this review after the batteries have run out, as none of the AAA batteries I have (I've tried multiple brands) will fit in the unit. The batteries supplied with the set are slightly slimmer than standard AAA batteries so the ones I have prevent the battery cage from sliding back into the unit. This is a ridiculous oversight as there's no need for it to be so tight and incompatible with the standard AAA size.As a result I've changed my review from 5* to 1*. I didn't want a throw-away set of torches.
