Arrived fairly quickly from Amazon. Took about 30 minutes to assemble (lamp itself). The ground installation took a little longer though. The ground installation time will depend on the type of soil you have. The lamp itself is exquisite. I was truly shocked at the HIGH quality of this product. The only issue I can foresee is the possible difficulty in getting a replacement solar battery if the need ever arises. You can only purchase it from the manufacturer directly. When I checked their site, the battery was currently unavailable. Outside of this possible hiccup, the light post is great and it works like a charm. On a full charge, it stays illuminated anywhere between 6 hours to 8.

I picked this one because it was aluminum and glass construction, came with the pole and had high light output of 300 lumens. 300 lumens are not super bright, but quite adequate for this purpose compared to most other models with much lower output. It is easy to assembly with options for mounting into your lawn or into concrete. We used the lawn screw, but it is not so strong because our lawn is very rocky, and we had to loosen the soil a lot. Planning to redo with concrete. It looks great and even though we had only an hour or so of light to charge it the first day, it ran most of the night. Planning to order another soon.

Was having issues with our electric feed to the front light post. Would have certainly been a major repair, and expense, to replace the wire run, going through a block wall, under a flower bed, and under the concrete driveway in order to get to the existing light pole. Ended up disconnecting the electric to the front light pole, capping off the wires in the pole, and installing this fixture. Easy enough to do [DIY] - and now have a good looking lamp which comes on at dusk and goes off at dawn. Provides good, white light and of course is solar. So no more electric expense for this one.

Not too bright and does notStay on too long. Probably become we have a lot of tall trees.

I purchased this solar post light to replace my 5 year old Lustec LED post light. The new light fits perfectly on the old post, and now is bright as ever. Lutec makes the highest quality lights on the market.

After buying at least two other solar brands for my light post and being disappointed in their quality, I happened to come across this Lutec-brand solar light (just the lamp, not the post) at another website. I checked, and Amazon had this Lutec lamp post light for only $25 more than most of the other lamp post solar lights. Note that many solar lights for posts go for upwards of $300. So, I get the package and was stunned to se the quality of how it was wrapped, the heaviness of the light, the size and brightness of the light (almost double the lumens) compared to others, the careful engineering of all aspects of the mechanism, and how easy it was to assemble. So rarely does a product stand out this much compared to the competition. The Lutec light with the optional metal post is just as well engineered and available on Amazon and elsewhere for not much more money. The post for the light (it stands around six feet in height) is a marvel of engineering and design. So, I was so impressed I bought two of the lights, turned one on (the other one is still charging, and was impressed with the brightness--very warm and long lasting. I'm so impressed with the Lutec brand that now I'll only be buying this brand for my future outdoor/indoor lighting needs. The Lutec brand's manufacturing quality is 3-4 times the quality of other brands. And no, I received absolutely no money, products, or any incentive for this rave review.

We had a gas lamp in our front yard. The gas has been turned off for years but the post and lamp was still there. We wanted a lamp that got enough solar power to light it all night. This lamp does that. It's very attractive. It was easy to install once we got the old light off the pole.

It is a great product exactly as the most commented but "easy-to-install" is not my case. This is due to the attached drilling-anchor. The drilling-anchor is thick and sturdy, made of plastic; functionally, it is not that "one-size" fits all the soil conditions, not mentioning possible rocks underneath topsoil. That leaves me two options to choose: dig a hole to bury the anchor, or to pour the concrete. Either way, I have to dig a hole. I leave a 4-stars rating that is just because it costs me extra dollars for the useless drilling-anchor.
