Easy to Use and Best For Small Projects
This is a handy little tool to have around for small projects or for painting items with lots of nooks and crannies. You can always use a brush, but I find it slower and if you use a disposable brush...you paint and toss the brush...However, when doing a chair, especially outdoor furniture like I was doing, it takes a lot more time because there are so many little crevices and corners that need to be worked in. This is where the spray painter earns it's value. I found it easy to adjust the spray for the water based latex paint I was using and the reservoir held enough paint for me to get through a small bench and table without having to reload paint. I did a couple of practice sprays on the underside of the bench to get the hang of the spray and before that used a piece of scrap cardboard to adjust the pattern and I was good to go.This is really a nice tool for a DIY person or hobbyist as you can get a nice smooth coat of paint on things. My results were pretty professional, much better than I could have gotten with a brush and like anything else, the more you play with it, the better you'll get.As I was using water based paint, the clean up was pretty simple and the sprayer comes apart to clean pretty easily. I will say that you want to make sure you do a good job on the cleaning if you want it to perform well later. Any dried paint left will severely affect future performance as my experience with other sprayers has taught me.This is a nice, easy to use tool more for home hobbyists and smaller projects. It might work if you want to paint a wall, but if you're looking to do a whole room, you'll be constantly reloading the gun which will make it less enjoyable and more of a chore. It's best for descrete projects...a couple of chairs, outdoor furniture, doors...any smaller project, especially those with lots of details that would be problematic if using a brush. My outdoor furniture came out well, but you have to read the directions and you will likely have to thin whatever paint you're using a little so that it sprays more easily. These won't handle a thicker/dense paint. They work best with thin liquid. You don't want to put on a heavy coat but multiple thin coats to get the best result. I waited for a day with little/no wind and painted outside and recommend that as the way to go. Also recommend you wear eye protection and face mask because breathing in paint fumes isn't going to do your lungs any good...another reason to use this outside when possible.Bottom line is it works well, is easy to use and easy to clean and will be handy for other projects down the road.

A lot of cleaning required after use
So I grabbed this a while back ago and I wanted to wait to review it because I wanted to get the opportunity to test it out. The instructions are clear and easy to read and the machine is simple to use. It's a bit heavy in the hand after you load it up with paint and you need an extension cord to run it because the length of the included cord isn't going to get you far. They have instructions on how much to dilute your paint so that it doest get clogged in the machine. I made a huge mistake in the initial use as I accidentally used an oil based primer without proper dilution and the machine was not able to spray properly. This made a huge mess of things and I quickly leaned how to clean that machine and dismantle it. I ended up just using a roller as I didn't want the paint to dry. However, once I cleaned the machine I tested it out by running water and the spryer was working nicely. I think this is a decent machine for the price point just dilute your paint properly for a smooth finish.

Good spray painter for the weekend warrior
If you're the kind of person who only occasionally needs to spray paint or perhaps has a few big jobs like painting your fence, then this is the model for you. I'd say it's better quality than the cheapest one at Harbor F and about the same as the $90 one at HF. It's light overall which isn't a bad thing b/c the paint will add weight and you'll be holding this the entire time but that also tells me the motor is also light weight. The big thing you have to do when using this is clean it right away. Once the paint dries in it, you'll be lucky to get it to perform up to standard. The amount of paint it holds is respectable but again, keep everything handy and moving steadily so nothing dries inside it. Again, for this price point, it's not a bad deal and it'll do what you need in much less time than using a pain brush.

Good Bang for Buck, Wish it Held a Bit More Paint, But Does a nice Job
I've only done some test painting with this on plywood, but so far, this seems like a good little all-in-one electric sprayer. It is replacing my again Wagner, which did a nice job for years, but has developed some issues.Three comments on this one from my limited time so far. I like that it is a lot lighter than the Wagner, so I can get through longer jobs like 600'+ of fence without wanting to quit and finish another day. But being light, I also wish it held about 1/2 again more paint so it would not have to be refilled quite as often. I also noticed it is a bit more tilt limited than my Wagner, so using it on a deck will be somewhat more challenging. I'd say by the time you are halfway between level and pointed straight down, it won't work. But its not much different for horizontal surface spray painting than the Wagner.Things I do like. Top of the list is five different nozzles for different paints from stains to latex to oils. It isn't that hard to clean afterwards, so that is good. But lessons learned from the Wagner: clean immediately after use without delay. Also like the handle an trigger which makes it easy to maneuver. For the money, I think it gives a lot to like. I would say it is really just for home projects, not commercial jobs, but it might make a handy quick touch-up gun for a pro. I give it five stars, especially for the money.

Good for DIY home projects
The media could not be loaded. This arrived carefully packaged in a box with bubble wrap around each piece. I ordered this to stain our new fence once it is installed. The weather hasn’t been cooperative but I was itching to test it so we tested it inside a closed garage. The sound wasn’t nearly as loud as I expected it to be, a definite plus for not annoying the neighbors. It seems to work smoothly for the limited testing we did, we sprayed some concrete walls and a few spare boards. The instruction booklet has simple easy-to-follow instructions very simple and comes in a plethora of languages. I will update this review if anything goes wrong with longer use.
