Brilliant
I use these for cutting fireline for beading and can honestly say they are brilliant. Really sharp so you get a neat cut and you can get close to the beadwork. Highly recommended.

An excellent tool for cutting piano wire.
When making very small springs from piano wire I found that normal wire cutters were virtually useless as the wire was so hard. This cutter is absolutely perfect, easy to use and leaves a neatly cut end - naturally it has a maximum working wire gauge.

Very reliable. Use for X/0 split rings. Hasn’t let us down yet.As this particular brand has a good reputation it is quite expensive and worth it at this point in time.

Handy
A handy item - I am not an expert in using them but found them very handy and much easier than not having them for split rings. The smaller the split pin though I did find them stretching the pin.

Cuts through point motor rods
After messing about with alternatives I decided to buy these cutters for some point motor rod trimming. What a joy, minimal effort needed and the rod is quickly shortened to the correct length. The rods are 1 mm in diameter, piano wire type, I suspect the cutters would work on similar wire of slightly greater diameter, say up to 50% more.

Great for music wire
I purchased this 2193 shear to cut music wire for my instruments. I was previously using ("abusing") a cheap set of flush cutters and they quickly became damaged until they finally stopped cutting. This Xuron shear makes clean, square cuts and doesn't require much force to clip through music wire. So far, the jaws appear unphased after several sets of strings. I believe this is great value for a durable pair of shears that I expect will have a long service life.

Works great for cutting hardened memory wire.
Performed well as advertised. This tool cuts through hardened wire without dulling or harming the jaws of the wire shear. Very good quality product that is great for cutting memory wire.

They really do what they're advertised to do.
These are tough little pliers and really easy to use. I used them immediately with fly tying split rings and they split the rings open with no effort at all.
