VC Cleansing Foam, White, 300ml, Pack of 12

Godsend.Like other reviewers, I really cannot praise this product highly enough - I'd give it 6 stars if that were possible! I've seen it used by nurses in a rehab ward who used it like "fireman's foam" as an emergency extinguisher of the contents of a commode pan and adult nappies in a crowded ward. Maybe that was extravagant, but the ward occupants certainly appreciated it! The formulation is thick and gentle like shaving foam, a fabulous skin cleanser that's exceptionally effective at removing clingy or dried-on deposits on even the most delicate skin. I use it for my 94 year old mum, who is bedridden and has fragile skin on her bottom. Nurses tell me it leaves a protective film over skin which means you don't need an additional barrier cream (although we do use it with Cavilon cream on intimate areas). It completely removes odour, even urine odour, from skin and the smell is so pleasant it could pass as a cosmetic product. With regard to intimate cleansing, one unexpected benefit is that the thick foam consistency minimises unnecessary contact as it wipes clean off without the need for rubbing.

I first met this cleansing foam during a lengthy stay in hospital. I was unable to leave my bed at the time and was told I’d need help having a freshen up. I was asked to lie down and this cleansing foam was sprayed onto some light weight cloths and I was systematically freshened all over without any real need to dry off, though I think there may have been areas that dried and others that didn’t so these Dry cloths were used to check I was dry then lightly dusted with talc. A pleasant way to stay fresh in hospital or at home.

Arrived day after ordering. Works out veru cheap per can when ordering in bulk. I use this at home for my mum and at work - it keeps the patients skin clean and smelling nice!

I am bed bound and use this foam to keep fresh and clean. It is what they use in hospital and does a through job. Is gentle on the skin and is value for money. 12 cans will last approx 3 months.

I haven't given this any major challenges, but have used it to freshen up, chiefly as an alternative to using a portable bidet for keeping those important little places clean. This produces a very light, pleasant pure white cleansing foam. I've used it with dry wipes made of non-woven fabric, to avoid washing flannels, and because tissue just isn't strong enough.The cans are designed to be used with a finger each side of the nozzle. They produce a generous amount of foam easily, which is absorbed very quickly, and doesn't leave any sticky or wet residue.Great as a no mess alternative to soap and water, does leave you feeling clean and does get you clean too. The scent is faint, but pleasant. I bought a box of 12 cans, but other reviews suggest that even just one can will last ages.

ideal for use to clean skin to prevent soreness from urinary incontinence and or faecal incontinence. Way better than soap and water as there is no irritation that repeated washing can cause. It comes in a can (just like hair mousse does).Shake the can then holding the can upside down use 1st and 2nd fingers either side of nozzle and press nozzle and hold until required amount of foam/mousse is dispensed either directly onto skin or onto toilet paper/disposable cloth. Foam doesn't need to be washed off just wipe skin and reapply if necessary? Good to use just as a freshen up in hot weather for example. I'm sure without this mousse I would of ended up with skin rash and soreness. Made for genital and anal cleansing so mild could be used anywhere on skin.

My old mam is now confined to downstairs & could not get to the bathroom upstairs to have a good wash. Wanted something more convenient than a bowl & face cloth so spoke to district nurse & they told me this sort of product was available. Found Vernacare on Amazon so went ahead & obtained a case.Great product. Easy to use, has a pleasant light, clean smell, not to cold on application, wipes into the skin so no drying involved, no marking on bedding or clothes, one tin lasts a good time, applied using the Vernacare dry wipes which you just chuck away so saves on laundry as well. Does the job very well, cannot beat the convenience, can be used on sensitive areas. Love it.

We use this for the intimate care of an elderly and infirm relative. I've been buying this for a while from various suppliers as, combined with dry wipes, it makes cleaning easier and has a subtle but pleasant fragrance that doesn't irritate her "down below". The cans seem to last well despite my generous use, which also makes them economical compared with others on the market.
