Very handy backup to the electric kettle
Good for boiling up a larger volume than my small kettle. Cannot miss the whistle when it boils. Be a bit careful when pouring out as the handle is jointed so it swings over for storage. Otherwise I like the looks and it does a good job. Also seems to stay clean on the outside.

In love!
We weren't sure about ordering this because the reviews are hit and miss but having now used it for the last couple of months, it's brilliant!First, the colour: it's a stunning, crisp, emerald green. It's utterly beautiful. It's also a good size - it holds up to 2.5 litres, but we only ever fill it up to the bottom of the spout to stop it bubbling over when it boils. So pop the lid off, fill it, pop it on the oven top, and off we go.The handle can be pushed to the side to make the lid easier to access, and then pulled back to a vertical position. We have a gas burner oven top, and the kettle is fine on a straight flame. I wasn't sure if it would be okay on a bare flame, and it's fine and dandy.I saw another review that said it took 20 minutes to boil, but on a halfway decent flame, ours boils in under 5 minutes. We were actually amazed at how fast it was!And then there's the whistle... I swear, it's the singularly most comforting sound there is. It's deeply, deeply cosy and warming and happy and if you accused me of boiling the kettle just so I can hear the whistle, I wouldn't deny it.We actually bought the kettle in case there are 'lectric blackouts this winter but we're sold on it and we don't use our electric kettle anymore. This is a couple of minutes slower, sure, but the whistle, and the amount you can boil and the convenience and happiness of it all make it so, so much better.Just a quick tip, though: for the first 4 or 5 boils, the water doesn't taste quite right, so we used the first 4 or 5 goes for filling hot water bottles. After that, though, it's good to go.So, if you're on the fence, I would absolutely recommend it! Best kettle ever.

Boils water very well
Still looks brand new after a weekend of heavy use. Handle locks nicely when using it so it doesn't flop over when full of boiling water, and the spout cover locks upright when opened, and you don't burn your finger doing it. Nice colour too

Good item
Loved the colour, this kettle is lightweight, which is perfect for me, but some people might prefer a heavier kettle depending on cooker type

Better size than most - good whistle
Great kettle - a good size for both drinks and washing up water when camping. Love the bright and fresh metallic green colour. Whistle works well (bought as a replacement for my old one which had stopped whistling and I kept forgetting it was boiling away on the camping stove!)
