Royal & Langnickel 5.8 x 8.3 inch Canvas Hard Cover Sketch Book (80 Sheets)

I love these sort of sketchbook and this is great for the price but I think next time I'll go back the the other company which has finer quality canvas and paper for just a little more.Edit: I bought the same one again because I like that the pages can be torn out easily. I think the other seller still has better quality canvas cover and paper but this one is suitable for those who aren't fussed and aren't doing full detailed drawings, just sketches etc.

Wouldn't have even given this product one star if I could have. Item sent was a competent different sketchbook with the worst quality paper. Do not buy this it's rubbing and not as advertised.

As soon as I opened this sketchbook I could tell it was poor quality.Rough, coarse paper not unlike something I've bought in a poundshop in the past. This means you cannot get a smooth line and leaves marks in shading.Good for messing about in or children but if you want something for pencil or pen drawings avoid this.

Yes, I do like it. But slight disappointment at grubby marks on the cover.Still. as I intend to decorate it I am keeping it.Probably a bit overpriced if I'm really critical.I shall not be buying any more, unless the price drops a bit.But it will serve for now.

Well it's A5 and has 80 pages... I just wanted something little for gesture drawings and this does the job nicely. However I've cut into a couple of pages by using a 4H pencil so I'd recommend softer pencils (and only pencils) for this sketchbook.

The paper is quite thick and durable (around 120-140 gsm) but is textured and rough. I found this makes graphite sketching/shading a little difficult. Although the sheets are great for painting or inking mediums. Also the covers are as described - canvas covered board so there's no reason you couldn't paint on those too :) Overall, i'm happy with the book but would look elsewhere if you're wanting a pencil sketching pad.

Nice paper for pencils really nice to draw on

use these for marbling onto... there not the best quality and my prints don't always work out as the books are somtimes slightly bowed... unfortunately can't find canvas covered notebooks anywhere else that are white so slightly tied to them... also they have recently increased price from 2.50 so not overly happy about that...
