Let me start off with the positives for these lights:-The lights are fairly easy to snap together and assemble in a design you choose.-The lights are easy to install on the wall. The have Velcro squares you stick on the back of the light. There are spots marked out where yo place the velcro squares. Then you stick the lights to the wall.-You can control the lights with the connected controller to get the colors and lighting scenes you like.-The lights can change colors to the beat of the music.-The app is fairly easy to connect to and was easy to figure out how to use.The not so positive:- The lights snap together easily enough to assemble, but are not easily taken apart. I felt like I was going to break them each time I had to take apart.- Your design options are limited. You can't do a square because the corners included don't allow it. You are stuck having to make a U or an L shape, or a straight line.-The velcro adhesive seems strong, but it didn't work well for me. Lights fell off the wall after a couple days. I ended up using command strips.- There is no remote to control the lights. I use the app for the colors and scenes but I don't always have my phone in my hand to turn the off/on. So I either have to go find my phone, or move the table to get to the attached controller.- The app is easy to use but could use some upgrades to make it better. Clean it up a little and add a few more options. I like the big selection of lighting scenes and colors but being able to do DIY scenes would have been awsome.The lights having these issues are overpriced a bit in my opinion. I give them 3.5 - 4 stars.

These are cooler-than-average wall lights that can be synced to work with music. Be advised though, you will need to download an app for them to work properly. At this price point, it would be nice if they came with a remote so that you didn’t need to download a potentially sketchy app to control them properly. Some might see that as a benefit, though, as there is no remote to lose. They can work without the app, but you won’t be able to control them as well without the app. They snap together fairly easily, and you can use one or all pieces, each is a component that fits into any other, which I thought was a neat feature as you can configure them in a variety of ways. The only part that gave us trouble was connecting the on/off component with the plug component. There’s a three prong part with very delicate prongs that you need to be very careful with when you connect to the corresponding three hole part. On our first attempt we slightly bent one of the prongs. We had to very gently bend it back into place in order to get everything seated properly. After that it worked very well. It comes with several pieces of hook and loop that have sticky backs to attach it to the wall. We decided to invest in a better quality brand that’s made to remove without damaging paint. If you’re not worried about that, the amount provided would certainly be enough to hang it properly. The main reason I took off a star is that wherever you mount these, you’ll have to contend with a cord hanging off of one end to plug into the wall as a power source. Again, at this price point I’d hope it would have a rechargeable power source to avoid having a cord to contend with at all times. So overall, a cool set of lights, but aside from the fun shape and ability to customize the configuration, they lack a few nice features that would justify the price point.

I HATE having to download apps/jump through hoops on said apps to get something to work when it's as simple as a light. Luckily, you don't HAVE to do that with this product. However, if you aren't using the app, you're stuck with only a few options. Sound sensing, or pattern. I chose to have it set to react to the decibel level in my room, and it works great for that. It's kinda fun, I have this in an L shape around my door (up one side and across the top), and when someone opens the door, it's loud enough to trigger the lights. It's fun to me. My husband finds it annoying, but maybe he'll stop annoying ME because of it!Overall the lights do work, but it would be nice if you didn't have to use the app to get all of the features. A remote would have been nice, or even buttons. Heck, less features would have been fine!

This is a pretty neat little light. The setup and install is very simple, It can be controlled from an inline controller on the power cord or can be hooked up to an app for even more options. The velcro tabs that come with it are a nice idea but they don't really stick that well to walls, I ended up swapping them our for 3M command adhesives.Pros:Easy set up to appLooks greatAdds a nice little extra touch to a roomCons:Does appear to be able to be linked to a smart home control like Google home or AlexaThe sticky Velcro tabs leave a lot to be desiredconnector pieces are very very stiff.

This is a starter kit, designed to be added onto if you want/need additional light sections for your desired application. Lights look nice, but unless you download the app - much of the functionality isn't there. These don't come apart very easy, so it's helpful to have an idea of how you want these before assembly/mounting. Would like to see more functionality at this price point without the need for an app, or additional connectivity.

I have three or four brands of this type of lighting product, the kind with bars and corners that plug into each other to form basic shapes. This particular one in question costs at the very top of the range yet provides several fewer pieces than the others priced lower (of similar quality, btw). The functionality and app are pretty much identical, so I am confused why the price would be what it is. I enjoy the light regardless and use it behind the TV to light up the surrounding area. It works well and the effects are cool. I just have trouble trusting if I think I'm being taken for a ride somehow.

This light works very well and is fun to play with, it looks good and is of decent/ok quality. I do wish it had a couple more corners or even some turns to make designs easier. Overall it's definitely worth the money
