I don't have much time to leave reviews these days, but wanted to congratulate Berkey on an amazing product! I disliked the taste and smell of tap water (based in Wiltshire, England, UK. Its most likely far worse elsewhere!) and specifically the heavy smell of chlorine.During the "covid era" farce of the past few years (I don't have a TV license, missed the whole show it seems), my remaining trust of water, food and health services has all but diminished and I hated the idea of consuming bleach (chlorine!) After much research I came across Berkey. I decided to take the plunge and invest £500 into a Royal Berkey, the stand and other accessories. Yes,I know its not cheap but it will last many years and is a sound investment in your health. I did consider a used/return option which you can find on e b a y if you are on more of a budget.Do you trust the water companies to remove contaminants in the water? I don't...! It is a weight off of my mind.I am next to order the fluoride filters and hope to invest in a travel Berkey in the future.The water tastes pure- SO much nicer than tap water! And no awful chlorine smell. It was easy to set up and prime. Make sure you do it correctly and listen to YouTube tutorials as you go along.It was quickly and securely delivered through Amazon.Watch the water and be vigilant.Highly recommended.

I have had many filters but this is best by far. Looks great in kitchen and water tastes as it should do naturally

This is a top quality product and no mistake. The only issue I had is that there isn't enough information in the leaflets that come with this. It leaves a few unanswered questions.The main issue is the priming of the filters. There is no guide to walk you through this. You have to 'work it out' with trial and error. Its not complicated but they are expensive!Also it doesn't say when they need changing or what is the advantage of running four rather than two. But you can work it out. If a filter can process 6,000 gallons of water, and you find yourself doing a run every two days, this means that you go through about 10 gallons per week. That is 600 days of use which is nearly two years. But they could have dome the math for us!Having said all this, its still a great product. We used a water distiller before which added an extra £10 a week to the electricity bill. And the water in this filter tastes much better,So it has my vote!

During such times as these when the world has gone completely crazy with the ‘Covid’ thing, we de it to shell out on a water filter system to protect our health. Berkey was the answer. Not only does it remove dozens of chemicals found the grid water these days, we also bought the flouride filters to remove any fluoridation in our water. The taste difference was out of this world. Totally tasteless water and beautiful to drink. Worth every penny!!

This filters water very slowly and thoroughly. There is a small area of stasis which could be designed out. It was easy to put together, requiring just a screwdriver for the lid, and it suffers from none of the leaks or other problems that reviewers have found. Yes, I would buy it again.

I was really looking to have this system to get clean water but upon setup the system filters failed the test of the red dye product leaking the product through one of the filters. A bit disappointed as I bought it and it’s a new product so apparently this should’ve not happened but not paying hundreds of pounds to have a product that does not work. Sent ir right back and ordered the same one so I’ll see if this one works. But if not probably I won’t go through the same hassle and need to find another supplier

The Berkey Royal has allowed us to stop hauling potable water to our cottage. Works well, filters to delicious water.

Been told about Berkey’s for 2 years. Our water is not the best, but finally jumped on the train and got one. No more water pitcher on the counter to fill several times a day or boil to purify. (Microplastics you know.) very happy with the quality and the filtration. 6000 gallons before you need to replace the filters! If you have doubts about the quality of your water, do yourself a favor and get one. Better tasting water and peace of mind is worth it it.

Arrived early and came in perfect condition. Our water wasn’t bad before, but since getting the Berkey our family is drinking more water.
