No, It becomes great after washing, my cat loves this blanket.

It's a true white. I like this cover quite a lot. It is very soft and comfortable.

Q: Where is the zipper? At the end of the pillow?

The zipper is close to one end on the back side of the pillow. The zipper has a flap of fabric covering it so if you use that side of the pillow, the zipper is not right up against you.

Just the cover. The cover is very nice, though.
