This is a nice box , The only gripe with this type of box is the hinges , very cheap like all the furniture on this kind of box & i have a few .

Bought as somewhere to throw miscellaneous A4 documents, bills, receipts etc. before getting round to dealing with them. Plenty of room. Quite a well made box, generally smooth wood, although needed a little bit of sanding on one corner on a little bit of rough wood but looks nice now it's painted and doesn't look cheap. Not sure how well the hinges will hold up but these are easy to replace if they do break at some future date. Overall a good bargain at the price.Will probably buy another for my sewing kit.

Using the box for playing Dungeons & Dragons, so needed to be able to hold A4 sheets as well as a book & dice. Does so perfectly. Construction is mostly very good, with box joints on corners and a nice thin groove where the lid meets the body. However, this decent work is let down by extremely low quality hinges which I could see easily wearing out with normal useage.

This is a high-quality finish wooden box with no wholes or damages in the wood, just needs a light sanding if you want it to be absolutely perfect. One downside though are the hinges - they are weak, and not accurately inserted, therefore after a few openings and closings they bend and cause the box to not close properly. However, in view of the price, they do a good job and can be changed if you want to make the box perfect.

Nicely made box. I love it. Would have been nicer if it comes with a magnetic lock or something instead of plain lid so that it closes properly.

Only buy this if you are going to completely cover or modify it as the finish is fairly crude and will require a good sanding inside and out mine also had a couple of chips missing from the edges so will need filling. There are also what look like stains or at least dirt marks on the surface. The hinges are only pressed into the wood not nailed or screwed so I suspect they will also need replacing in due course I will keep mine as I bought it to cover in veneer and will be adding new hardware.
