Great bracelet!

Disappointed with the plastic bag package, it was bought as a gift, the recipient has said that the sizing is either too big or too small so is considering tying knots in the cord, also the anchor's points catch on some items of clothing.

Arriving in a translucent plastic wrapper this bracelet is initially rather underwhelming. Once opened though it proves to be a nicely crafted cord of around forty centimetres in length with a dainty antique brass coloured metal anchor doubling as the clasp. It is quite difficult to get the bracelet on and once around the wrist it is either a little too tight or massively too loose. I like the bracelet but it does not always feel secure when worn and is rather expensive at around ten pounds.A discretionary discount was given in return for an honest appraisal of the product.

This bracelet is navy blue with an anchor motif. It arrived in a plastic bag. It is actually one long piece of woven cord, approx 67cm long. At one end is a loop and at the other end is an anchor. You wrap it around your wrist a few times and then fasten the loop through the anchor.It is a very simple design and is essentially a piece of cord wrapped round a few times. The long length means that to a certain extent it is adjustable to fit on different sized wrists, depending on how many times you wrap it around. It is a bit tricky though, when your wrist is inbetween full wrap round sizes, as it won't fasten half-way. This is what happened to me. It is probably possible to move the loop and cut off some of the extra end, but I'm not sure how secure I could make the loop. I decided to just tie an extra loop where I wanted it, and then when the bracelet was on just wrapped the extra length around a few times and tucked it in. At least this means I can wear the bracelet and the extra end wasn't too noticeable.I received this product at a reduced price in exchange for a fair and honest review. This is quite a nice little bracelet but I am not sure that it's worth £10. The rope of the bracelet is a lot bluer in reality than it looks in the picture but it is very good quality and very firmly weaved together. I did find that the coils at each end, not sure what they are made of, did make my skin go a funny colour, sort of bluish gray, not sure if it is a dye rubbing off of the bit and on to my skin or some sort of reaction. The anchor is very well made and is not at all heavy, it is also very easy to hook and unhook it. Unfortunately you really don't have much of a choice in regards to the size so I think a lot of people will find it too big and some will of course find it too small. This bracelet comes in a resealable plastic bag which makes it look a bit cheap, it would have been nice if it came in a presentation box. If you you are going to give it as a gift I would recommend getting a small box to put it in.
