The best coffee I've ever tasted!
Eight O'Clock Coffee, Original Ground, 12-Ounce Bag (Pack of 4)My family has been using Eight O'Clock coffee for at least 70 years.I grew up with it. When I was 9 years old my mother allowed me to start drinking it.She would make a cup of 3/4 hot milk and 1/4 Eight O'Clock. When I was in my teensshe made a 50-50 mix of milk and coffee. At 18 I started drinking it full-strengthwith just a couple teaspoons of milk and a bit of sugar.I've never been a black coffee drinker because of the way my mother started me outwith milk - however, there have been times in my life when we forgot to buy milk andI drank it black.Eight O'Clock is the ONLY coffee I can drink black.I have just purchased my 4th Farberware Stainless Steel Stove-top Coffee Pot from Amazon.I've used these for the past 40 years and will still continue purchasing Eight O'Clock coffeeto use in them.I never knew you could get Eight O'Clock through Amazon! I just took a chance and typed it in.It's so much easier. You get it at your door in 2 days! No running long distances to buy it or having family members elsewhere purchase it for me and mail it to me.The Original Ground Eight O'Clock has a gentle, non-bitter flavor that starts your daywith contentment rather than a jolt!Over the past 40 years I've had to switch to other coffees when the original supplier (A&P Supermarkets) went out of business in my area and I couldn't find it elsewhere. But other coffees STILL can't stand up to Eight O'Clock for my taste.

Great tasting, value priced coffee
I have experimented with many types and brands of coffee and for the money this brand is the best. It's consistent in quality and is not oily or acidy like some of the so called gourmet brands. I original bought the 42oz.bag to test and when I found that I really liked it I ordered this four 12oz. bag package. As it turned out the four 12oz. bag package is a better deal price wise and it's the same good coffee. One more thing, if you use CO2 filters in your coffee vault like I do, the Eight O'clock brand has one in each bag. When I open a new bag to put in my coffee vault I take the CO2 filter out of the bag and replace the CO2 filter in the vault. Doing this not only keeps the coffee fresh it saves money because you don't have to keep buying replacement CO2 filters... They're not exactly cheap. There are better coffees out there but they ARE expensive. For the price and quality this coffee tastes just fine......... Try it out, you won't be disappointed.

The replacement for Maxwell House Slow Roast Coffee!!!
I had bought Maxwell House Slow Roast Coffee for years. When I could no longer buy it locally, I started buying it online. Well, when the price on the few places you could find it were about >$20 for 33 oz, I gave up and started searching for a replacement.A delightful person at a store that had previously carried it took it upon herself to do some research on my behalf, and found that Eight O'Clock regular ground was well-reviewed, and suggested it to me.YES! Perfect replacement for MH Slow Roast, readily available and doesn't cost a fortune, especially when you buy it online. With subscription, it's cheaper to have shipped to the house than it is in local grocery stores. YEA!!!!!GREAT smooooth coffee, can make it strong and it still doesn't tear your stomach up if you prefer a "thick" cup of coffee. :)

8 o'clock coffee is still the best.
We've used 8'oclock since Consumers Report named it #1. We buy the ground version, and brew with a Mr Coffee, just routine. Some months ago we decided on more exotic coffee. Bought a French Press and a whistling pot, and a grinder, and tried numerous brands of fancy coffees. We set up a "coffee log" to keep track of all the various coffees and the details of the brew (amount, time of brew, degree of grind, etc),My son has a several thousand dollar machine which makes all kinds of coffee, espressos, and so on, and he is quite the expert in knowing about all the coffees out there, so we had good guidance. The results of all this experimentation? We use 8'oclock ground, 4 measures to 5 cups of filtered water (important!), normal brew in Mr Coffee. There is nothing that can beat this for strength, flavor, after-taste, and convenience. And you can't beat the price if you have Amazon ship 4 bags a month, automatically. There is really no other choice than 8'oclock.Dan

Great price for unpicky coffee drinkers
I noticed there were some very negative reviews for this coffee, but we were looking for something inexpensive that we could get delivered through Amazon Prime, so we gave it a shot. What I've concluded is that this is a great coffee at a great price for coffee drinkers who aren't particularly discriminating in their coffee tastes (especially if you doctor it up with plenty of cream and sugar, as we tend to do). Honestly, we thought this coffee was perfect until we traveled to Panama and tasted real fresh-roasted, mountain grown coffee. After that, coming home to Eight O'Clock wasn't so great. But if you are already drinking pre-ground coffee, and don't have a particular brand preference, I'm guessing you'll be totally happy with this product. And because we're cheap, we're still drinking it too. :)

Great coffee
I am a coffee latte drinking snob. I've tried all the name brands, and have even bought the emergency canned coffee. I drink coffee every day, twice a day. However,I have never heard of this brand and the reviews grab my attention. Disclosure, I am a big fan of anything 1940s, must have been a past life. So I was also curious about how coffee tasted back then. I was very pleasantly surprised! It is very smooth and it has a full body. The aroma is very uplifting. Very good cup of coffee as far as drip coffee goes.
