Very handy
Schradieck is "industry standard" violin instruction. Highly recommended. A little tedious to go through, but it teaches you about better, more relaxed left-hand positioning which is of course totally essential for improving skill.I find the chromatic scales particularly useful, and also introducing the higher finger positons (4th, 5th, 7th etc).

Technique in one week
I am professional violinist, and i recommend the schradieck school to any who want to improve:confidence of fingertechniquereaction ( both for fast playing and fast note reading )The quality of notes are much better than the one from imslp.

Amazing book
5 star for the book - my son is taught by Suzuki method, but I hire him teachers outside Suzuki during the school holidays. One of the teachers recommended Schradiek to help relax his left hand, which he hated then. A year later, whilst practicing Can Can as part of his chamber orchestra at school, he asked me to buy him Schradiek as he understood howmuch it helped him in past. Bingo!3 star for delivery though - it was packed in unnecessarily large box, and despite all the protective layers the book still came bent.
