Easy enough build, probably not a long-term toy
Instructions aren't that great, but enough information to get the job done (such as orientation of the LEDs which otherwise might have been guesswork). But reality is that most of it will only fit in one place - only one resistor, one transistor (with the D marked on the board), one chip, one USB and perhaps a novice might get confused by a capacitor with a negative marking, but the PCB showing its positive side. The LED grid is good and bright but the 7-segment displays are quite dim.I quite enjoyed playing it too - though the buttons are too clicky to do this without annoying other people!I nearly returned it because the case appeared to be "wooden" rather than the perspex, but it turned out the protective paper coating of the plastic looked just like MDF.The battery sticks out awkwardly at the back, and the case's sharp edges make it uncomfortable to hold. But it's a MAKING project, not wholly a PLAYING project. So on balance, I'm happy I bought it, it was simple enough and interesting to make, and I have it lying about for when I'm having a bored five minutes for a game of Tetris.

Nice project, limited instructions
Instructions could be alot more clearer, pictures are fuzzy and English written instructions are limited. Managed to cope just about. Once complete, nice little project.

Easy build with 4 fun simple games
The media could not be loaded. This kit is very easy and fun to build. It does require a fine tip soldering iron and some experience with soldering. The most tricky components are the chip and LED matrix displays but for anyone with experience of soldering IC chips into PCB's it'll present no problems at all. The IC chip slots into a socket so doesn't have to get soldered to the board directly. This saves any concerns with overheating a sensitive chip. The console itself has 4 games, tetris, snakes, car race and shooting. Although the games are very simple involving just dots on the two LED modules it is very addictive and fun. Sound is a bit annoying as you can tell from the video but it's very easy to turn the sound off from the menu options. Great little kit for the money. I recommend it, worked first time and can be played either on batteries or through USB. Batteries seem to last ages. I played it for hours and the batteries are still good.

Great kit, well built.
My son (8) very much enjoyed this and overall it's a very good kit. A little fiddly perhaps if being picky but I would recommend and thought it was good value for money and well made.

Love it!
Excellent to make and better to play.

Good for 15 years olds soldier skills enhancement
I bought this as an inexpensive way for my 15 year old kid to identify components, solder them and get something fun at the end of the process. All went according and we have been competing against each other for high scores.
