This brace gave me my life back!!!
Well worth the price. Wasted my money on various braces over the last few years. This is only one that alleviates my extreme pain and allows me to function. I could not hold a pencil without my other hand adding support. Couldn’t turn a key or doorknob, open a jar, use a knife, and had trouble getting dressed. I was gonna try a knockoff first, but after comparing all the reviews, I spent the big bucks. And I’m so happy I did! It’s paid for itself eliminating the ongoing expense of pain relievers, pain creams, and Cortizone shots, and more ineffective braces. So comfortable.Their YouTube videos on sizing, fitting, and cleaning were helpful. Can machine or handwash, but I clean with an alcohol wipe.Thank you, PUSH MetaGrip, for giving me my life back!!!

Reduction of discomfort
I purchased this brace after hearing a hand physician recommend it in a podcast on Hand and Wrist Treatments. For me this brace actually decreases my thumb pain while still doing the things I love to do. It is not bulky, did not take much time for me to get us to it and most of the day I forget I have it on.It's ability to stabilize the thumb joint and decrease its movement has been a game changer.Make sure you follow their very clear instructions on how to customize/fit the brace to your thumb. Not inexpensive and I'll have to save up to get one for my left thumb but know I will do it.

Adds joint support.
Easy to use, although a little uncomfortable in the notch of my hand between my thumb and index finger. The brace is a little too wide in that area to allow normal movement, even though I followed the fitment instructions exactly.Very uncomfortable while gripping the steering wheel while driving. It does provide support and diminishes some pain. I wear it when I have pain flare-ups, and it provides some relief, but the additional support is key.Trying to wear it as a pain prevention method before a flare-up occurs actually causes pain. I wouldn't recommend wearing it for long periods of time. It's a good product, but I feel that it's over-priced about fifty-seven dollars too much.

Ehlers Danlos Syndrome
Ok, so I don't have Osteoarthritis as far as I know. However, I do have Ehlers Dan's syndrome and Fibromyalgia.I'm in high school and taking notes is absolutely awful. My hands hurt so bad, like so so bad. I realized after a little research that I've been holding my writing tool wrong my whole entire life. Instead of the pen resting on my middle finger, I've always rested it on my ring finger and gripped my whole freaking hand around the pen.Anyway, I physically cannot hold my pen the correct way, then I found this brace.Holy crap, it changed my life. While I have had to retrain my brain on how to write, I can now hold my pencil correctly without awful pain in my palm!I also notice that the brace almost applies pressure to my palm muscles and it feels so good.I 100% recommend this for anybody with Eds and the awful hand positions that can go along with it.

Miracle Brace
The Push thumb brace works so well, I’m sorry I didn’t order it earlier. I didn’t think I’d be able to play guitar with it on my left ( chord) hand but it doesn’t interfere at all with playing chords. I knew it was pricey but it’s worth every penny.

read this review!
I work at a major urban hospital. Several years ago I began experiencing pain in my right thumb joint and after x-rays, received a diagnosis of an arthritic, unstable CMC joint. My hospital's hand clinic custom fitted me with the hand splint in the photo on the right . Even with my "nice" hospital insurance, this still costed me $350. I wore it a lot, and it was definitely effective. The pain subsided, but I continued using it especially when texting on my cell phone. But, perhaps from stuffing it into my pockets or backpack, the splint cracked around the thumb opening. So, in the meanwhile I started wearing the soft brace instead....which is only 40% effective. The pain returned. However, I had challenges getting an appointment on the hand clinic again. On a lark, I searched Amazon for hand braces again and found this one. Some of the reviews indicated that patient's doctors (in areas which presumably don't have hand clinics) were suggesting this splint. I ordered it and have experienced a major reduction in pain, always when I wear it, and more and more when I don't wear it to the point I forget I have an issue. That indeed was a very productive search because this splint is much cheaper, more durable, and I would say about 90% as effective as the hand clinic's splint, though I think that splint was more protective. I'm also not sure how long the velcro on this splint will last. So far so good after a couple of months.Do consider this splint even though it's substantially more than the soft ones. It's far more effective and used by some medical professionals.

Great for Relieving CMC Joint Strain
This little brace is a game changer - allowing me to enjoy Yoga, Gym and lawn work again. I was having lots of wear/tear/age related pain in my right thumb joint and using this brace with NSAID gel has made such an improvement. Suggest you size up if you are on the cusp of the next size as they are a snug fit. I was at the upper end of a Small and had to return it for a Med (which fit SO much better for my activities). The company was great about the return. The main caveat is DO NOT wear the brace you return - you can try it on for fit but do not wear it and make sure that you return the package and insert in new condition just like you got it (don't tear of fold anything). If you follow those instructions, they will return your entire purchase price within their return period. Hope this helps anyone else considering this purchase. I would recommend it before you get to Cortisone injections or surgery. May buy you some time and alleviate pain.
