Seems like a good value so far
These Amazon Basics silver car covers for sedan up to 170 inches seem like a good value so far. I have only used them for a few days. For less than $40 each, the material and construction seems commensurate. The included straps are a nice touch to keep the cover from blowing away.See the photos. The covers are designed for sedans, however, i am using them for coupe type cars. One is a Pontiac Fiero GT and the other is a Saturn Sky. As you can see, they really don't fit coupe cars. I want to protect them from sun and rain. The cover material seems to be capable. I hope to get at least 2 years of service from them before the sun turns them to dust.I will revisit this review to provide updates. We will see if these covers are really the value they seem to be initially.1/16/20, UPDATE: We had some serious rainstorms recently which gave these covers a good test. I pulled the cover on the Saturn Sky and found it lightly wet underneath. I couldn't verify it, but i feel that the seams are the source of leakage. I don't think it is the material.7/19/20, UPDATE: I purchased another cover for 2013 Ford Focus hatchback using the 170 inch SUV cover. See the photos and video. The cover is very loose but is not made for this type of car. It works pretty well anyway. It billows in the wind but stays attached with the included straps. I hope this cover last for at least a couple of years.1/12/21, UPDATE: So far, all three covers are holding up pretty well. However, the oldest cover, about 1 year old tore slightl when i was adjusting it by puuling it sidways over the hood while there was mositure underneath, causing the cover to stick to the surface of the car. Just a slight pull cause the cover to tear slightly. I suspect the material fibers might have weakened due to sun exposure over the year. Otherwise, the only leaks are slight and only at the sewn seams. Lets see how much longer they hold up. More updates to come.8/27/21, UPDATE: The oldest cover has been in service for about 1 1/2 years now for my 88 Pontiac Fiero GT coupe. Now there are just way too many tears to continue to use it. I will probably order the same cover to replace it. The reason is because I also spent about $200 on a name brand custom fit cover for my Hummer H2 around the same time, and it has failed very similarly. That cover's fit was absolutely perfect being custom designed. However, it's just not worth spending $200 for a replacement. This Amazon Basics cover for around $40 will just have to do. Even if it cost about $40 EVERY year. Yes, you'll be surprised that I bought another one of these covers to replace the deteriorated one for the Fiero just now. $40 per 1.5 years is still worth it although I'd like it to last much longer if possible.9/16/21: Probably my last update. I have purchased the SUV 218 inch cover for a Hummer H2 SUV. I never expected it to fit perfectly since the Hummer H2 is a bit wider at the roof line than most full size SUVs. However, it did fit well enough for my purpose - just to keep the sun, rain, and birds off. It doesn't fit as perfectly as my previous CoverKing custom cover, but since it is only 25% of the CoverKing's price, AND the CoverKing cover lasted about the same time as the Amazon Basics cover, I think I can live with it.My final verdict: These silver Amazon Basics car covers are not perfect, but at the current prices, they will keep most of the sun, rain, and birds off and maybe even deter vandalism. They are worth the price in my opinion. There ya go.1/25/22, UPDATE: Ok, I thought I was done with updates. I will add one more. The 170 inch sedan cover that I bought in January 2020 for the Saturn Sky convertible is finally worn out. The sun exposure has made the material weak enough to easily rip if pulled on even slightly. I've got multiple rips now. This has happened to each of these covers I have purchased within about 1 year of purchase. I am ordering a new one today. Again, at $40, even if replaced every year, is not too bad.6/14/23, UPDATE: I'm sure you're getting tired of my updates. But I have to let you know that it's time to replace the 170-inch sedan covers for my Pontiac Solstice, Saturn Sky, and Pontiac Fiero. They all have minor tears now due to the weakening of the fabric from the sun. I have noticed that there have been price increases of about $8 or so since my last purchase. I also need to replace the 203-inch SUV cover for the Hummer H2, but it is no longer available, so I will need to look for a comparable replacement. Oh well.... :-( I hope you get as good service and value from your Amazon Basics Car Covers as I have.

I wouldn't only use it as a temporary cover, not permanent outdoor storage.
It's great for temporary outdoor storage. I wouldn't use it for long term outdoor storage.I've had enough car covers to know this one would last 4-6 months *at the most* if used outdoors regularly before it disintegrates and splits. It will work great for long term indoor storage.
