Very pleased with quality of the seat stem for the price it's great value for money it took a few minutes to fit and adjust and initial test ride found it to work very well

I have a small wheeled electric bike, because it is electric, the bike frame is very strong and rigid, that coupled with small tyres means that the ride is harsh on anything else but smooth surfaces, so I decided to try one of the suspension seat posts. You will need to take the existing post out to find the size that you require, this is stamped into the metal, usually in mm's, you should also note the length of the shaft.When the unit arrives, fit you seat, and maybe try and move the seat forward as sitting directly above the seats gives the best suspension movement. On the base of the new shaft is a small hole for spring adjustment, I had to undo this by a few turns before the spring would move when I sat on the seat, but once you have tuned this to your weight and riding position, the ride on the bike is much improved. For the money, its worth a try!

Felt fine at first but the saddle came off in my hand and my bike ended up on the floor. Needless to say I wasn't happy and I'm not convinced the build quality is any good.Maybe I got a bad one?

This post is simple and relatively cheap and it does a good job of smoothing out the bumps in the road. It is quite heavy so check the weight is OK for you.

I would give more stars but I was missing a nut which is really Amazon's fault otherwise ok. This is the second one I bought for fitting to a cargo bike as the previous one broke so I still have the nuts. The seat fitting is held in place by a single pin the does not pass all the way through which can cause a weak point for all that bouncing force to focus at. I believe this is where my original one failed. The pin broke and then the square tube cracked and then bent and fractured completely. In defence of the post a cargo bike is quite heavy and with an electric motor fitted can nip along at a fair clip. I also would jump off the kerb onto the road again so a fair bit of force may have been applied to the post. It does smooth out the ride though

This is the first time ever that I have given a 1 star review. This product simply does not do what it is meant to do. It is so rigid you are better off keeping your rigid seat post. I'm 168lbs and it requires me to 'jump' on it to get it to move. The force needs to be directly down the centre line of the post which never happens when you are sitting on it. I stripped it down to investigate the problem. Inside the tube there is a cheap plastic bush through which the square moving post slides up and down. The tolerance is so tight that it just jams up. I filed the bush to allow the post to move freely but the spring is so strong that it still does not move with my weight on it. I've put it in the bin now. I definitely would not recommend this product.

I have two of these for my bikes and they are great. There are more expensive models out there but this does exactly what it says on the tin!

This unit is substantial, well made and reasonably priced for what you get.In my case, I just need a unit to reduce the spine jarring impact of the lumps and bumps in our roads and trails.It's quite heavy and the instructions are limited, but it doesn't take too much intelligence to sort out the adjustment, which is done by rotating the collar just below the rubber bellows at the top of the tube. Screw clockwise to make it harder and anti-clockwise to soften the impact.This was the only unit that I found that had the right tube diameter for my Carrera Vengeance, and that was within my price range.Recommended if you are a casual rider.

put it on my Ebike. works great and is much less pricy than the upgrade.

El recorrido de la suspensión es corto pero suficiente. De esta forma no existe la inseguridad que produciría un vaivén excesivo.Si lo ajustas bien a tu peso(aflojar el tornillo ablanda y si lo aprietas endureces) conseguirás absorber bastante bien las irregularidades de un carril bici, etc.El tornillo a apretar/aflojar es allen y se necesita una llave del 6.En mi caso 70 kg, lo he aflojado hasta que la arandela se queda casi al ras del final de la tija y me va perfecto.Ignoro el resultado que dan las tijas con suspensión que son mucho mas caras, pero dudo que su resultado sea mucho mejor que esta.Ha sido una buena compra.

Habe mir diese bestellt, um zu testen, wie es sich zu einer normalen Sattelstange verhält. Ich bin absolut zufrieden mit dieser. bei 100 kg federt sie ganz ordentlich ab.
