Watch works fine, gps takes a little longer to come up ...
Watch works fine, gps takes a little longer to come up than other devices but when it does its pin point accurate. Battery life last longer than others when in use with gps and when in normal use as well.Light but very robust coz I've not smashed it yet with regards to my daily life routine.Way back works perfectly and the route shown on screen is a major helpOnly minor issue is you have to input your next coordinates in your laptop on the app. It would have been perfect if you could just add them onto the watch

Nice looking GPS watch, but compatibility issues!
This is my third Suunto watch (I already have a Core and an Elementum). I bought it because I wanted and GPS enabled watch, which had smart watch functions and also could be used for running and hiking on my travels.Like all Suunto watches it's well put together, stylish, clear and legible. If you've used Suunto products before you should have no trouble in finding your way around the Traverse, there's your usual altimeter barometer functions, a stopwatch and of course some goodies associated with gps (I understand the watch can also use the Russian equivalent of GPS for extra accuracy too.)As a relative newcomer to the Suunto lineup (later 2015) the watch should also link to your smartphone and receive notifications, and it's here where things started to give me problems. It seems that later versions of Android 5 do not work with the mobile "Movescount" app, although I hear a fix is coming soon. Of more concern to me is the fact that Android 6 (the latest version) is also throwing up the same problem for me, and I'm told that there shouldn't be any compatibility issues with v6. All rather disappointing given that we're talking about an industry standard mobile operating system!Things may be rosier in the world of IOS (which Suunto seem to have a soft spot for - their rangetopping "Kailash" watch using the R7 app only available for "i-users") and the Movescount mobile app compatible with my Samssung Galaxy Tab... but come on Suunto... get with the times! So in summary, a nice looking, well built gps enabled watch, but if you want smart watch functions and use Android I would think twice.

Suunto Traverse disappointing.
I bought this for recording an upcoming Alps trip, for hiking with occasional running and for phone notifications and step count etc.BAD:Nothing to do with an individual seller. My issues are with the watch itself. You cannot sync step count.Fusedalti only worked when I was testing the option on my way to work but for some reason never worked when I was on the mountains. For over 1 months the watch cannot sync anything to movescount nor movescount to it.Bit slow to action button presses, so sometimes you press twice.Good:Notifications work wellVibration worksMostly good gps lockWatch light - torch function handy for looking in bags etcLock function can be complete lock or allow actions.Overall:When it was 2 months old it failed the day before my big Alps trip which as mentioned above was the reason I bought it. Even though I brought it and used it anyway just in case, ended up losing all recorded route data.I no longer wear this watch as it is not working as described and effectively pointless. Cannot put POIs/Routes etc on it nor save results from it.Suunto replaced the watch and the problem still exists, six week and counting on a 3 month old device. I am now trying to get a refund but being bounced between reseller and manufacturer.Suunto are aware of the issue as it is a known fault with the model and tell me they are working on a fix.I took a chance on Suunto and wish I hadn't.
