Dexam 12108612 Aluminium Wok Lid 30.48cm , Silver

We have a 30cm school of wok "wok star" wok, made by Dexam and bought in Lakeland. This lid fits the pan well, as shown in attached photo.I was impressed by the handle assembly, see pictures. It comes with a bolt or screw that's easy to fit without any tools, and the wooden handle has a metal insert that makes sure it'll hold together well for a long time. To me that was a surprising touch of class. I wasn't expecting it on something for under a fiver. I wish our apartment had been built with some.Other customers have been complaining about it denting and deforming. While I agree that it's lightweight and does dent if you press it hard I don't think it's a problem. Even dented, it's a functional wok lid. If you don't want dents in it don't try pressing it to see if it dents! Don't stand on it either: it's a pan lid not a brick.If you get one damaged out of the box you should probably send it back to Amazon for refund/replacement, but we didn't have any trouble like that with ours – it was in perfect condition until I started pressing it; now it's got a barely visible dent but still fits the pan, and woks just fine.

Does the job of closing my wok, but it's very thin and deforms extremely easily. You need to be careful for it to last a long time, but it's to be expected given the super low price. If you're on a budget and are careful with it it's a good purchase but for those who like to toss things in the cupboard you may want to look for something a bit sturdier.

This is a great, affordable, and good quality product. Yes, it is made of thin aluminum and you could dent it if you think it is a steam locomotive and not a wok cover... Easy to clean, and it fits perfectly inside a 30+ cm (11.5') wok (I am using it with a "school of wok" 30 cm carbon steel, flat bottom wok) Keeps in the heat and steam when you need it, prevents oil splattering, etc. I am just about to order another one in case they stop producing it in the future. *you'll need to screw on yourself the little wood handle (screw and handle provided)

As others have said, this arrived damaged. In pristine Amazon packaging. I was going to return it but I managed to get the dings out and straighten the lip myself. If like others, you seem not to have the top knob, look through the packaging it came in; it might be loose in there somewhere, like mine was.It's a lightweight, aluminium, wok lid that just about, kind of, fits my Hancock 12" wok. Cheap as chips, and I'm sure it will do its job just fine. But very disappointed that it was damaged, seemingly pre-packing. As an ex-Leading Stores Accountant Royal Navy, if I'd have packed an item damaged like that or any of my team had there would have been hell to pay.I won't be buying Dexam again.

Wok lid ok but the bag in which it was packed was open and the little wooden handle and screw were missing. Not sure if this was the fault of Amazon ( was delivered from Amazon Prime ) or the supplier. Not worth the bother returning since I removed the wooden handle from a similar wok lid which I was throwing away and used this. Had another slightly larger wok lid delivered at the same time. The bag was closed on this and the little wooden handle and screw were in a little bag inside.

fits perfectly with the wok, the only minimal need to cope with dents .

The lid fits a 30cm wok well and the domed shape allows steaming or smoking items which are taller than the lip of the wok eg a whole chicken.

Works very well and is very light to handle. Wooden handle is perfect as it stays cool.Easy to clean also but it has several bumps already which I do not really mind for this product but be aware of that if you want something "pretty".Price is good so I just buy another one when it starts looking too damaged.
