No idea sorry. Just replace the unit to prevent damage in trying.

Q: I have an ideal standard setup and it won't stop filling. It's the twist top with a red nipple. Will this fix the constant filling?

Yes it will, just be sure to get the right size (diameter) of the fill valve. I used this to replace an Ideal Standard fill vavle that had a red stopper/insert and was ribbed, this fitted perfectly and stopped the overfilling. As it was supplied, I also fitted the actuator arm little rubber stopper as well.

Q: What is the blue part for and is it important what dose it do and should i replace it
