I used them with LED tea light candles around the edge of the pool( on the pool deck) as it was a little windy and I thought the lights would all blow into one corner. They looked beautiful and made the venue elegant. I received many complements.

These lights are $3 each and probably worth the price if you're having a nice party. I put these in the pond in our back yard to celebrate my wife's birthday and she enjoyed the site of them as a surprise. They took a little effort to assemble but add ambiance outside. I should be able to use them again in the future since they're well made.

I got these for a purpose other than what is intended but put one together to test it out. It was very easy to assemble. These really have endless applications. They can be used for a pool party as indicated but will suffice for general decor as well. These are, in essence, very bijou: small, but elegant. Their simplicity makes them elegantly understated for decorating. For my purposes, these are great crafts for kids since they are simple to put together and can be decorated. They would also be a great accompaniment to academic or STEM/STEAM lesson plans. We will be using them for a project in our English lesson plan centered around the elements of story structure, using paint & markers to turn them into shadow theater lanterns, with each side displaying a crucial event in the storyline. Since we have a fair amount in the box, there are enough to use as part of an art homeschool lesson on stained glass as well. They can be included in a cultural lesson plan since these are inspired by Asian paper lanterns. They could be used as a creative tessellations project for Geometry. And of course, they could be used as an aid for a science lesson plan on light and refraction. While these are designed essentially as seasonal or one-time-use decor, a little outside-of-the-box thinking can give these additional applications that are both fun and practical for kids/families. These are reasonably cost-effective; its current price point of $55 breaks down to about $5.50 per lantern. I also appreciate how batteries for the LEDs and the remote were included. I would recommend these not only to party planners or hosting venues but to parents and teachers as well! My kiddos love them!

The media could not be loaded.  These are Floating Lanterns that are nice for adding interest to your pool. There are 10 Lanterns overall. There is basically a square wooden base and some thin round sticks that you put into the four holes in the base. You then just put the parchment-type paper square around these four sticks. Small lights are included to then put inside the Lanterns. Overall, they are very easy to assemble. They float just fine.The part I had some difficulty with was the Remote. The Remote is supposed to allow you to control the colors of the lights, with a good variety to choose from. The Remote I received didn’t work, presumably because the battery was dead. I tried to put in another battery that I had, but I think that one was deadas well. The Remote requires a CR2025 battery, and each light requires two CR 2032 batteries, which were also included. Note that you need to open each light and remove a small piece of paper, before it will work. The light I tried out only displayed one mode, which was to alternate all through the different colors. It was quite pretty! I have attached a video to show this.In trying to work with the battery issue, I found that the little door on the Remote that holds the battery is quite stubborn when you try to remove it. You have to press a little part of it sideways and then pull the door outwards, but this is a bit difficult. I also found that after I had taken it out and put it back in the first time, it was very hard to get out again. I tried to use a screwdriver to assist, and it broke off a small part of the outside of the door. I was then able to get it out by gently using a tweezers.Overall these Lanterns are pretty, but I’m taking away one star due to the difficulty I had with the Remote.

The media could not be loaded.  This is a set of 10 wooden Chinese lanterns with LED lights to put inside each. Each one of the lights has a piece of paper inside, protecting the battery from being drained, which must be removed before use. Once you unscrew it, take out the paper, and close it back up, it is ready to go. The lights are controlled by a remote with many options for color and flashing rate.These lanterns are absolutely beautiful, with bright colorful lights glowing in the center. The addition of the remote control to change the patterns of the light gives a completely new dimension to this traditional item. I did not place these items in water, as they are simply too nice to risk floating away, but being a lightweight wood with a very small electronic light bulb, I would assume they float just fine.I have decorated the basement with these lights all around, and I turn them on whenever ambience is desired. If the batteries go out on these bulbs I will probably find a replacement, these are some of the most fun, useful, and colorful decorations that I've purchased in a very long time. The customization of colors allows these to be used for any holiday, with green and red for Christmas orange and purple for Halloween... And so on. This is definitely the start of a new decorating tradition in my house!

The little candles are very dim, so I’m wishing I had just purchased the tea lights. But something a little bigger would be ideal to brighten these up. For the most part they look like the description on the product page. I haven’t used them out in the dark yet, so I can’t speak for the ambience that it brings to the space, however, I believe they will be an attractive evening addition to my outdoor space, and I would recommend to others looking for something similar.
