Why is this so good?
I recently spent too much money on a badly bound "Perfectly Penned" diary. Looks posh with its faux leather, but the binding is bumpy and there's nothing special about the paper. Pukka Pads work with a fountain pen, too.So now I ordered one of these; I needed a thinner diary for an 8-week training course. What lousy treatment I gave to a cheaper, and cheaper-looking, diary? This has flat, tight binding; the paper is certainly not one bit worse, if not better, than in my larger, personal diary. So the cover is a little more 'tacky', but the diary inside is of superior quality. This one DOES excel over a Pukka Pad, and it's very neatly bound. Ink (I do use extra-fine nib, though) does not bleed through any more, and it is perfectly possible to use both sides of each sheet. And 'tacky' is an exaggeration; it's still a neat-looking book. These will be my diaries of choice from now on. Unbeatable at this price (I paid £4.02 incl. prime evening delivery). It doesn't get better than that. Okay, fewer pages than the other diary, but at a fraction of the price, and doing the maths roughly in my head, I'm paying about the same per page, alas a properly bound one that has not bumps. As a last note: Because the cover is very rigid, the fewer pages and thinner book are actually easier to use. Too thick a diary and/or too soft a cover, make it very difficult to write on the thinner side, be that the LHS at the beginning, or the RHS towards the end. So, another bonus!SUPERB & PERFECT!

A good A4 soft but firm cover note/ journal/ work book - sturdy with cardboard pouch at the back
This is a good A4 soft yet firm note book that makes for a good journal or work book - nice cover and cardboard pouch at the back for to keep your Post It notes or simply loose notes together. However my one gripe and why I did not give this 5 stars is because the paper stick although 80gsm feels thinner than the 80gsm paper stock i am used to writing on ... must be the finish on the paper ... so I am have chosen not to use this for a journal, where i write a lot ... but a work note book, where i do less note taking and more flow chart and brain storm working out etc. i think if i used this as a journal i feel that my writing would be 'see-though' on this paper stock whereas the other A4 note books I have with 80gsm are seriously not seen through nor do they feel thin in anyway. Good value for money and happy with it for work though.

Second one I bought
Great notebook, I love the lime green colour. Sturdy, with a handy band and good paper with thin-ish lines. Just got a second one.

Very good paper quality but horrible cover colour unless you are a teenage girl.
These would have been great except for the real cover colour which is a marbled pale lime-green. I should have gone for the more expensive black ones. I bought these because Silvine make a lot of things in the UK (not sure about these note-books though) and they are good quality at a good price. I have been using Moleskine notebooks for ages but I think their paper quality is getting worse with ink bleed through a real problem now. These Silvine books definitely have better quality of paper with no bleed-through and the paper is a nice ivory colour. The ruled lines are not too close together as a previous reviewer stated - just measured them at 7mm. A very good product and excellent value despite the brash colour!

A6 Lined Notebook
Finally arrived. But understandable for the delay due to COVID19, great small notebook, fit in your bag, lined paper and just what I wanted. Small book to write down ideas.

Colour is different to advertised
I was very disappointed to find that the colour of the notebook is not the same as advertised in the photographs listed for this product. It's very yellowy/neon green and is not what I was looking for at all. The actual notebook itself was well made and I'm sure that I would have been happy if it had been the same colour as advertised, and so I can't give it any less than 3 stars, but be aware that if the colour is something that appeals to you, then you may be setting yourself up for disappointment.
