We have a small cargo trailer conversion. This is our first time using the screens. The front screen fits better than the side one, but both are doing what we wanted. They are giving us shade and keeping it cooler.

When I have afternoon sun and it's hot out, I cant keep my RV cool. The sun shade helps if the afternoon/evening sun is coming from that side. I also don't think it's worth the time/effort to install for a 1-2 day trip.If you are staying in a place with VERY hard ground, the tie down process is difficult. consider filling up milk/water jug that has a handle on it, for your tie down.The thickness of the material is probably in the sweet spot. -Thick enough to block much of the sun, but not so thick that the wind has complete control of it. You can also see through it.

DESCRIPTION: This is a sun shade for mounting to the side of an RV awning. It can mounted either front or back. It comes with a storage case, four bungees, two ground stakes, and two metal brackets for attaching to the RV if needed.————————ASSEMBLYThis comes with four bungee ball cords (3 long, 1 short). The easiest way to set this up is to attach the two top corners, then adjust the awning angle until it hangs straight, then secure the two bottom corners. The instructions showed using a bungee to connect to the ground stakes, but if the shade comes low enough you can just hook it directly onto the ground stakes.————————PLUSVery rugged, durable material.Excellent sunblocking. It does not completely block it, but it does block most of it, keeping the awning area shaded and cooler.The open weave allows visibility through the shade.The wind blows right through it, without ballooning it out.————————MINUSIt was not clear where the short bungee is to be used. I placed it at the top at the attachment point to the RV, it seemed to work best there.The shade could use a grommet at the middle of the top edge, to prevent a sag at that point. I snugged up the two corners, and that took most of the sag out.————————HOW I USED ITThis came with two metal brackets for attaching to the RV (one front, one back). I didn't use these. I found looping a zip tie through the existing awning bracket worked just as well to provide an attachment point (see photo) and avoided drilling holes in the RV.Once the shade is attached at two corners on top, then I adjusted the angle of the awning until it hung straight. Then I secured the bottom two corners.————————MY RATING5 stars - Our usual campsite has a strong afternoon sun coming in one side, which makes the awning area hot and unusable. We look forward to using this shade there.

This is a quality sun shade. I used it on my horse’s run in shed to give him some extra shade and it’s doing the job. I like that it is t too thick so it doesn’t cut off air flow. The bungees made it super easy to attach to the pipe fencing, only took me a few minutes to put it up. Highly recommend!

We have an enclosed trailer that we have semi converted to a toy hauler. It already has an awning on it so i cannot wait to install this. Only complaint is that is does not seem to be exactly as pictured.

This awning is defintely a great value! It was easy to install and gave great shade protection. Works awesome at a fraction of the cost of most other shades! I highly recommend!

I do not own an RV, but I do have a space where this WELKIN RV Awning Sun Shade Screen fits perfectly. My dock gets hit heavily by sun in the afternoons. The side is 9 feet wide and about 6 feet from ceiling to rail. With the enclosed hooks, the shade was put up in no time.The awning itself is made of a heavy duty mesh that does a great job of blocking out the sun, but not the full view. When not in use, the WELKIN RV Awning Sun Shade Screen is easy to take down, fold, and put into the carrying bag for storage. Whenever I need to shield myself, I pull it out and within a until the shade is doing the job. This is a great product that will be used for many years.

This side shade is great. It does a good job blocking enough sun while still allowing light. It’s well made and sewn nicely. It’s very easy to install and comes with little bungees and some stakes. It also comes with hooks you can screw into the side of your RV but I definitely didn’t want to do that. But it’s nice to have options. It also comes with a zippered storage bag which is handy when it’s time to take the shade down. The only thing i don’t like is the price. As far as I can tell, it’s exact shade I got from another company but this one was much more expensive. It’s also expensive when priced against other similar shades. I took two stars off for that. It if was competitively priced, it would be 5 stars. It is very nice though and I’m very pleased with the quality and the job it does.
