fiddly, flimsy and difficult to use
This is the fourth blind I have made - two without a kit, one with a roman blind kit from a different seller and this one. This is the worst one by far. Aspects of the kit are pretty flimsy, which means that a couple of the rubbish plastic parts have broken (both times the seller was not helpful) and it is difficult to pull up and down - as another buyer said, a bit of plastic at the top is difficult to dislodge. All in all, I would definitely not buy this again.

Pretty good, all in all
I'm not new to sewing but had never made blinds before. The instructions were largely adequate but prior sewing experience is more useful, as well as having an existing blind to look at and see how it's put together. I was impressed with the kit - came with everything required including wall plugs and screws though we beefed ours up a bit as the drop was longer than it offered: 2.1m (my drop was 2.3m in case you're wondering and I did have to fudge the threading of the string a bit). I chose a corded option as I was covering French doors but for a window, I'd go for cassette style as the cords are a bit annoying.I'm impressed, least because I tried to buy all the component parts and couldn't find a headrail anyway but the cost was more than the kit.You have to be able to sew largely straight lines, otherwise it will look rubbish. I'd also recommend buying a fabric that is wider than your window so you don't have to faff about making joins in patterned repeat fabric!

Too flimsy
Whenever the cord is pulled it dislodges the silly little plastic rings that clip on the cords . I am changing it for a roller blind as it is doing my head in.

Great
I really like this Roman blind kit, unlike some, everything you need is included, obviously except the fabric. I like that it has a stopping mechanism too.Only one criticism. Like some other kits, the instructions say the fabric should be divided equally to determine where the horizontal poles should be placed. Todd leaves a long with of fabric having siren when the blind is raised. I think it looks better if the lowest section is half the length of the other sections (because when the blind is raised, all other sections are folded).

Super, easy to use kit.
I’ve made quite a few Roman blinds, but never used a ‘kit’ before.Having realised that the kit was going to work out cheaper, and easier, than buying all the necessary haberdashery and hardware separately, it was a no brainer. If you’ve made roman blinds before, you’ll find it a doddle. If you haven’t- read the instructions carefully, measure twice and cut once, and you’ll have a lovely homemade blind in a matter of hours at a fraction of the cost of getting one made to measure.

Waste of time
My wife has made may Roman blinds over the years but it's the first time we've used a "kit". It looks smart but it is so fiddly and awkward to use that you are better off using our old method of tape, wooden batten, dowel rods and screw eyes. Much easier to fit and use and cheaper too.

Great time saver when making blinds
Could do with more wall brackets for the longer kits!

Top quality kit.
Very high quality of blind kit. Excellent instructions. A dream for a beginner blind maker and incredibly pleasant to work with for an experienced one. Very weighty cord Pull too which is a nice touch. Usually I have to find quality replacements but not with this kit.
