They work well after figuring out a method, easy, quick to make & good size x
At first glance thses look terrible, they don't look anything as nice as the picture, seller, why do that? picture the actual item so people aren't disappointed, I left them in the drawer until the making of hundreds of meatballs for freezing made me think I'd try them, the first few were disasterous, they stuck, they mix squeezed through the cups, I then dipped them into a cup of cold water, tapped the excess water off, scooped the mix, wiped the excess mix off the sides, opened the cups & got a near perfect shaped meatball!! I found I had to dip them into the water every few scoops, but as long as you dip, tap, scoop the water doesn't affect the mixture or flavour. It's a quick way to make meatballs & much less mess than hand rollingAfter making a couple of hundred, my fingers were a little sore from the scissor like movements of the device, but if you're making a normal amount & not trying to fill your freeze for starving hoards of teenage blokes, I don't think it'll be a big issue.

Flimsy
Not the most well made product. Have already thrown it away.

Fantastic for cake pops!
I bought this for try and get the same size cake pops and it works perfectly! They ended up all looking the same size and perfectly round, which I never managed by hand. They were ago smaller than when I did by hand, which I think is probably better!. It was also non stick and made the whole process soooooooo much easier and cleaner. Definitely recommend!

Italian Non Stick Meat Baller
I have already written a review on this and the Seller immediately got in touch with me to offer a refund. I am going to refuse this as I had already decided to put it into my sister's Christmas Box as she loves gadgets as much as me...I did say that the Meat Baller didn't work for me... In fact, I tried it again this morning and still couldn't get it to stop sticking but I believe I know why... I have always made my own meat balls and use an egg to bind the mixture and I believe it might be the beaten egg that is causing the meat to stick to the baller..It was very good of the company to offer me a refund ... so 5 stars to them for the customer service... The company also informed me that they had sold hundreds of them with no other complaints, which maybe the case but I did try to give an honest feedback on the product and obviously it just doesn't work for me...I am really looking forward to Christmas time, to see if my sister has the same problem... She loves cooking as well .... If the gadget works for her, I'll get her to show me what I am doing wrong... I can't say fairer than that!!!

Good, neat gadget that is easy to use
The meat baller makes a good size of meatball, nut stuffing ball or falafel. It's easy to dig into the mixture and pick up a suitable amount. The mixture holds its shape well when it is released from the scoop; if it's at all loose then it is easily rolled between water-damped palms.Clean-up is straightforward and it dries without a hint of rusting.Very useful for making evenly-sized, well-shaped savoury items. My wife has tried using it for shaping cake pops (chill the crumbled cake and frosting mixture well if trying this) but the cake balls are a little too small to take the usual amount of decoration or size of popstick. It's useful for making a good, tidy base cake pop around which to mould more mixture by hand but it isn't a time-saver in this case unless you were preparing a large number of cake pops.

Works well for some things
Works well - if the texture of the mixture is right, which takes a lot of trial and error. I wanted to use this for things like falafel and cookie dough as well as meatballs but unless you have relatively dry mixture it just doesn't work. Hit and miss with actual meatball mixture too. Wouldn't buy again.

Perfect for Cake Pops
I purchased this item to help with my latest baking endeavour - cake pops, after wanting to go down the traditional crumbled cake and frosting route rather than buying a cake pop maker which would leave me with mini balls of pure cake.I am so pleased with this purchase, after hand-mixing some cake crumbs and frosting it was so quick and simple to use the Meat Baller to produce 15 equally sized cake pops ready to pop into the freezer. Because of the scissor action and the holes at the top of each side of the baller, the mixture could be really compacted and any excess returned to the mixing bowl so there was no wastage.15 minutes later I was ready to construct my cake pops using 4.5 inch sticks and a packet of candy melts and some finishing sprinkles. As a working-Mum to an almost 4 year old anything which is actually works and speeds up any process, allowing me to spend extra precious time with my daughter is a bonus and I can see Cake Pops becoming a Mummy-Daughter baking time recipe too. The cake pops received a thumbs up from both my husband and daughter too and I'd feel confident in increasing recipe quantites as the whole process was so simple as there is no need to weight mixture to try and getting even-sized Pops. Will definitely try this product out for it's intended use of making meat balls too!

The ball pincher
When i received this meat ball tool it didn't look like like the stainless steel ball-scissor in the listing page at the time. The seller has since change d the product into the one I received. And the tool we received is quite flimsy, matt-silver. The scissor is a bit wobbly, which makes it hard to apply the appropriate pressure. Also the size of balls it produces is debatable, slightly smaller than a ping-pong ball. The resulting ball still has mince pieces on the top and bottom and around the middle, so you will still have to remove those bits and pieces and do some good old, manual ball rolling to get a cohesive ball.Having said that it has some value and i've used now for the past 2 years. The thing is that I always struggled to produce meat balls that were of equal size and this meat baller tool at least gets you the right portion for each ball. For smaller balls I usually cut each ball in half before the manual rolling. But extra manual rolling and tightening of the balls is always required regards less of the size.

Zumindest originell

MEATBALL making
I like it. I got another larger size too for my mother-in-law who had one forever that broke recently. This one was smaller. It was a little more "lightweight" than I was expecting, but with care I think it will last a long time. I used it right away and it makes the process slightly less messy than doing by hand, but definitely improves size uniformity, and once you get the hang of it, it does seem to go faster. You do have to spray with a cooking spray at first and occasionally thereafter to keep it from sticking and tearing apart when you open. Worth the money.
