Best microwave rice cooker ever! I have used different types over the years but this is the best performer, producing perfect rice each time. The other ones are definitely longer lasting but do not perform as well. The outer bowl tends to crack and eventually leak but the last few times it needed replacing I still went back to this one.

They cook most veg and rice to perfection. They don’t last forever- this is my third, as the outer bowl eventually cracks - but they last 3 or 3 years with constant use, are not expensive, can be recycled and they work. Wouldn’t be without one.

This is so much better than a steamer you use on a hob. Vegetables keep their colour and taste great. Much healthier than boiling vegetables.

All I can say is this product makes the best Basmati rice. I had one like this from Lakeland years ago, it’s just the same. This product is very easy to clean and really easy to use! I had my previous one for many, many years but eventually wear and tear took its toll! Was delighted to find the exact same product here and it arrived quickly after order placed! I would recommend it for microwave as it is BPA free and it doesn’t stain! I use it for cooking rice and vegetables and they always turn out fantastic.

Previous ones purchased from large high street shop discontinued. This one is ok but much slower to wash rice due to design. No handles. And the lid is very loose; not fitted. Having said that rice does cook fine but takes ages to wash rice…

I prefer that this is a taller unit to use as a microwave steamer as I have had those other kits that were a flat design and not as good. The clear material is useful to see when the steam is produced and has a good drain function. The material does look scratched up close but it is part of plastic formation as far as I can see within. The slots in the main chamber are far better than holes that some small veg would fall through and as I said it is a good height to fit many types of veg. The lid is already vented so you don't need to fiddle with a knob to open or close an opening as you should always have a vent.
