Quality Desk/Work Light
This is the fifth bench light I've bought over the years and by far the best yet. The slim-line light head has LED lights which makes it much lighter to move around and should improve the longevity of the arm as previous lamps have always failed at the articulated joints and base through constant use. The light switch is two action so you can have full or half light intensity - should save electricity and extend the life of the LEDs. The LED light effect is whiter than previous fluorescent lamps I've used, but doesn't impact on the use in any way. Definitely a good lamp to have on your work bench.

Bright and clear
The title says it all, the lamp is bright the lens makes small things clear and easy to see. It's well made too. Arrived nice and quickly.

Great lamp but one flaw on mine....
Lamp was perfect, fitted into my Lowery stand, great light and magnification was ideal. However, just after the 30 days expired the lamp started turning itself on. It was not touched and no one was near it. After it had done it several times I contacted the manufacturers who asked for me to return to them and get a replacement from Amazon. As I had bought it through a shop on Amazon I could not do this. So I am now waiting for it to be collected so I can order another lamp. Such a shame but can’t have the risk of it turning on and setting the cover alight etc. Can’t constantly unplug either as sockets are difficult to access. One star deducted for this issue but for the rest it’s great.

Best light ever.
One of my hobbies is sewing and I’ve spent some years buying a few lights that have had good reviews but have been disappointing in use. Most recently I was using two, one of which was my reading light that fits around my neck! That was ridiculous so I decided to have one last search for a light that would work for me. I came across this one and noted the very good reviews but thought maybe it would turn out to be another dud - I have a light grave yard where they all get dumped, much to the dismay of my husband. When this one turned up he was convinced this would go the same way. But it’s brilliant! Very descriptive word. It screws onto a table or other flat surface and the set up is as solid as a rock, it has very stiff joints so that when the lamp is positioned it won’t gradually shift. It’s a very substantial piece of kit, something I found reassuring. To get to the most important part now - the light is extremely bright and works amazingly well with the magnifying glass to make my finer work so much easier than any set up I’ve ever used before. I can recommend this light 100%.

Magnifcation and flexibility excellent
Great product, I am so pleased I bought it. I would recommend it to anyone else who does fine brush close-up artwork.

Broken after 3 months
Initially it seemed ok, although it is not very bright in comparison to previous lamps I have had, although this was to be expected witht he low price. However, it has already stopped working. So much for 50000 hours from the led light source. Also, as others have stated, the light turned itself on most days which is an obvious issue. My own fault for buying a cheaper light but i did expect more than 3 months

Brilliant for crafts
I bought this to put in my Lowery Workstand for embroidery, but I've also used it clamped to a table for drawing, lino cutting and generally looking at small things. It's brilliant. I've spent years struggling to sew/knit/crochet/draw on cloudy days and dark evenings. I've tried various lamps over the years but they were all either too dim, didn't reach far enough or wouldn't point at the right angle. This lamp solves all of those problems, plus it has a great magnifying glass which I didn't even know I needed! It has made my crafting easier and therefore more enjoyable. I thought I wouldn't be able to look through the magnifying glass for more than a few seconds (based on my experience of cheap magnifying glasses), but I can move my head around a lot without my sewing becoming out of focus, and it's comfortable enough to look through all evening. Now that I've tried it I could never go back to not using it.Some reviewers have said the light switch is too sensitive or that the lamp switches on/off by itself. The light switch is very sensitive - it's easy to accidentally brush your hand over it when adjusting the position of the head, but you quickly learn not to put your hand near it. I've never had it switch on or off by itself without me accidentally causing it to happen.Be aware that if you plan to put this in a Lowery workstand it is a very tight fit, as it should be, and this scrapes some of the powder coating off the base of the lamp's stem. So you may want to test it out clamped to a table first just in case you want to return it. You won't want to return it though, because it's great.
