In the past, I have used a different brand to fix my hoses. I got the cheap ones from HF.Although the cheap ones worked, they would wear out being that they were made of plastic.These are a great quality, easy to install, and will remain very durable in the future.I would definitely use these again as I tend to be cheap and want to repair the hoses instead of replace them.

These are much better buy than the $5each the big box stores want now. When assembling I lubed the inside of the hose and fitting with silicone or you can use Vaseline. When inserting the fitting in the hose ESPECIALLY if older and stiff use a lighter to heat the hose. It will soften and be pliable making the fitting much easier to insert. Put the clam shells on and start both screws before you fully tighten one or you will bind the fitting and make it very hard to get the second screw started.I used these to make custom hoses from a old hose that I warrantied. you know to replace the leader hoses that are crappy on hose reels and in my flower beds where I didn't need a soaker

These fittings were exactly the size I needed. They were easy to insert into hose and clamp closed. So far so good. Hope they hold up over time.

I have found these to work well without leaking. I tried two other styles before buying these and the other styles leaked but these hold fast and work well. I have a pyrenees puppy who loves chewing hoses so these have worked wonderfully well for mending my hoses. I can highly recommend these.
