Aesop's Fables: Chiefly from Original Sources

This review is about the quality of this specific edition of the book itself - "reprint from the collections of the University of California Libraries" - not the content.I researched different versions of Aesop's fables on a quest to find the best one. I found in my opinion that most of Thomas James's translations had the most interesting character and color. This is one of the few James translations I could find. I am disappointed in the scan clean-up, and in the reprint quality of this edition. The images and text suffer from poor digitalization and are low-resolution, artifacted, and mundane gray with low contrast. They could have at least done well to blacken the print.
