Shock Doctor Gel Max Mouth Guard

I've seen quite a few reviews complaining about the size and the fit. As far as my experience goes, these are completely wrong. After proper fitting, this mouth guard fits like a glove and provides excellent protection and comfort. Just need to fit it properly!First, I've read many complaints about the guard being too small out-of-the box. Had a similar feeling when I saw it. I'm a 29-year old male with average-sized mouth/teeth, so I was a bit worried. No need though - after fitting by heating it with hot water, the mouth guard fit perfectly snugly, yet comfortably.I did have to heat it 3 times until the fit was perfect. After the first attempt, fit was very bad. Make sure you heat it up well (but not too long!) and be prepared for some trial and error. Since I perfected the fit, the mouth guard was great: comfortable, protective, easy to slip in, kind of sucks itself into place, but easy enough to remove. Great product!

As some other reviews have said this is quite small for an adult size but I only have a small jaw so I bought it. The instructions are clear but it took me a few goes to get it to fit properly but once I did then it was very comfortable. I wear it for Hockey and I hope I don't need to test whether it actually works but it certainly feels like it will at least help should the worst happen.

Both my 12 yr old son and I do Taekwondo and he also plays rugby. I would highly recommend these mouth guards. I have tried different ones over the years and they were always hard and uncomfortable and always made me gag, so it was hard to wear them .However 2yrs ago I came across the shock doctor and have never looked back, they are easy fit and very comfortable. The only thing is just be careful they can be small fitting so I would say any one over 10 yrs old should get an adult size. The very 1st time I ordered jnr for my son and it was tiny we actually laughed at the size of it in the packed so now I order him and adults too and it's perfect.I have been buying these shock doctor mouth guards now for two years and wouldn't consider buying any other type for all our sports.

It is good for starting out as your first mouth guard, but the rubber is very hard and can hurt the top of your gums, and it’s very bulky and feels big in your mouth, would recommend as a starter mouth guard but would recommend getting another brand for rugby.

Easy to fit and long standing. Minimal issue even with the cold - would recommend to anyone that is looking for a well fitting easy to use guard

1) Ridiculously small - only extends half way into the top of the mouth - the packaging clearly says 'Adults' otherwise would have assumed it must be a child size.2) Front of the gum shield is out of proportion and forces top lip to stay ontop3) Despite having had multiple gum shields in the past, and repeating molding steps twice, fail to get a comfortable and secure fit.0/10

Fits perfect and stays put. Bought for rugby. Just would prefer if the logo wasn't across the center of the mouth piece. A more plain look would be better.

Der Gel-Max kam schnell und ließ sich gewohnt gut anpassen. Sehr gutes und langlebiges Produkt, kaufe ich immer wieder.

Ich habe mir schon über die Jahre, mehrere von diesen Hersteller geholt und muss sagen ich war immer zufrieden. Das anpassen ist einfach und geht schnell und der Tragekomfor ist super sitzt auch gut und ist angenehm zum tragen.

I switched to this Shock Doctor mouthguard a few months ago for boxing and it's been great. The molding was easy, the mouthguard is stiffer than some other brands, but it feels a little smaller in the mouth, which is great for breathing and speaking (still not easy to speak but better than with others). It also absorbs shocks really well. I will only buy those ones from now on.

Très facile a mouler a la dentition, les finissions sont bien faites (rien qui dépasse ou rentre dans la gencive) et facile à nettoyer !

Het is heel Schock dempend wanneer iemand tegen je kaak slaat.ik heb dit product gebruikt in een tournament en werkt heel goed de pijn blijft niet zitten op 1 plaats.ik raad dit product wel aan, alleen het valt uit je mond als je je mond open doet.
