I'm so glad I got this bread baker. It's heavy duty and it's beautiful. I've used it for probably 20 loaves now and love the way it bakes!

I was considering buying a similar one for $300+ when I came across this one. I am SO happy I went with this. It is so so stunning and perfect for sourdough! It’s made my life so much easier. If you’re in doubt…. JUST GET IT

My wife wanted this for Christmas, but I thought it was just another kitchen gadget. Got it anyway and boy it makes a great loaf of bread. Easy to use and bread comes out perfect. Color me impressed.

I am very happy with this purchase. Very solid, high quality dutch over. Made three loaves so far and each one has turned out great.

I added a photo to provide another look at the greenish-blue color option. It's hard to capture the color accurately, but this is fairly close. Many of the product photos looked like the oven had a pearlescent finish, but it's not--it's just glossy. It feels solid, and I love the 'made with love' imprint you get on the bottom of your bread loaf. I tend to use a nylon scrubber to remove blackened bits/smoky residue after every bake to keep the finish nice, and that requires a bit of elbow grease, but overall I'm quite happy with this purchase!

Final update; After 3 months consistent use the enamel has chipped. I contacted Segretto. There response was my 30-day Amazon return window has expired and their enameled products may chip from time to time with regular use. Since they are lead and cadmium free they are safe to use. My response...my one twenty is now in the trash since their "Segretto Lifetime Warranty" is worthless in their minds."Nice design would be great if it was made properly. Can someone please manufacture the same thing effectively and stand behind it? Anyone?Update: Kept the best of all components; raised one star because it's a lot easier: loading the proofed dough into this shallow base without completely deflating or ruining shape or getting burned; when properly preheated the enameled cast iron sears the dough bottom; I've had no clean up after any bake without buttering or oiling dough, though proofed in buttered bowl; breads come out moist inside and great crust with no additional spritzing of water...can spritz dough going in will have to remove loaf and rest/cool on a rack then, but don't need to spritz; can take lid off the last 5 minutes of a bake for even thicker crispier crust. Can slightly mess up the ingredients or even over knead and the bread still bakes nicely. Kids came home shocked and both said their friends' moms have been burning homemade bread...how did you make that so good? The replacement bottom is not as well made as the first bottom with iron filings all over it. The tops are both imperfect. The inside of both have iron filings showing, but the replacement has more interior enamel over stray filings. The outside of the replacement is missing some iron in the cast so looks like it was dented and also has tiny spots lacking exterior enamel.Update-Segretto is in process of establishing a returns, replacement, repair department, but it is not yet up and running. The bread oven has been sold for a year and they have not experienced negative issues with the item so far.Update-added a star: Segretto responded with 2 potential resolutions. The problem is arrival of new inventory takes time. I opted to wait for new inventory. My exchange is recorded and new product request is waiting. I have a scheduled arrival date of January 27th. Trying to get answers regarding this Amazon replacement inventory is not available. Its likely there is so much instantaneous movement in the retail market, tracking and forecasting inventory is really not practical.Unfortunately, I received what would be a factory second for full price. I have not purchased any other Segretto cookware so I have no prior experience with their standard of manufacture. There are 10 imperfections on the interior lid including stray iron filings visible but embedded in the enamel and tiny burst bubble remnants; this concerns me in terms of longevity of the item as we all cook and bake from scratch over here daily. There are currently no Segretto bread ovens in stock on Amazon, which I can return during the window, if they existed. Seller/Manufacturer via Amazon online has at this point said the interior enamel is uneven showing more of the cast iron surface (Yes, I agree a properly enameled or ceramic lined vessel doesn't normally show the cast iron texture either. There is a third manufacturing inconsistency in this vessel.) They acknowledged the iron filings, but deemed it safe and reliable to cook in, gave me a list of "do not do" in use of their cookware and directed me to try to return on Amazon at some future date with no communication of a date of new inventory to Amazon. They also registered my lifetime warranty.

I used this very expensive dutch oven only a few times when I noticed a huge piece of enamel had chipped off the inside of the lid. The cast iron underneath even looked rusty. When I tried to register this product I was told that the seller was not authorized so it is not eligible for warranty! Oh how I wish I had read previous reviews that indicated this! I have asked for a compmlete refund--an honourable shipper would provide that! But so far I am getting the run around! Buyer beware! I suspect the REAL Segretto is a good product but this seller does not appear reputable!

The product itself is what I was looking for. It was however overpriced by this seller, who is not an authorized seller of the product, so I was not able to register it with Segretto for warranty, which the company offers on their products. I will be returning it, provided the seller refunds me entirely and pays for the return shipping.
