Louisiana Bedding Vertical Blue & White Stripe Striped Duvet Cover Set 100% Cotton 200 Thread Count (Grey and White, Double)

The duvet covers are for my twin beds in our grandson’s room at our house. They look smart. The blue and white stripes are stylish and make the room look bright and fresh. The fabric is excellent quality, not thin but still soft for the boys comfort. They washed well and I am confident they will last for years. Not cheap but worth every penny.

The headline is something used in the distant past, to denote something 'proper' and since this was a gift for my Dad, who loves coming out with that sort of gibberish, it seems appropriate to use, since the duvet covers' got stripes and Dad reluctantly thinks it's 'proper' too! He's been using heavy polyester blankets and those horrible, woolly type sheets with the blue/pink/yellow stripes on for years and since I convinced him to switch to a duvet he makes his bed in the morning in one minute instead of ten, (apparently, these new fangled duvet things just mean modern society has gone soft and it 'wasn't like this in the war'??? but it saves time so it's OK). Anyway...the cover looks great, he sleeps so soundly (though he won't admit it) like a 'top', it's easy to care for and is sized just right. I've said it before but I'll say it again, 'welcome to the 21st century Dad'!

This does not bobble like a lot of cheaper bedding.

I purchased the light blue colour back in 2017. Washed it regularly at 60°C with no discolouration or shrinkage.I have recently purchased a bigger bed, so I had to get new bedding. Had no hesitation in purchasing from this brand again. Chose the light grey colour this time and so far so good.The only thing to note is that the cotton this time around is slightly thinner than the set purchased years ago, however this has not been an issue as it's not overly so.

I’ve had a blue set and a grey set for 6 years now and for the price cannot understand how anybody could complain about the quality - comfortable, have never ironed the duvet cover, just the pillow cases, and they look so contemporary - can’t fault them (and I rarely leave reviews so that says something!).

Despite having checked with the seller, I was disappointed to discover that the colour of this striped duvet cover is not the pale blue in the main photo. It's much brighter and more the colour shown in the other photo (of the duvet in its wrapper). I didn't even open it as I could see straightaway that it wasn't the colour I wanted. No doubt the quality is good and would be lovely if you want a bright sky blue. I wanted a soft shade of blue - so sadly had to return it.

When purchasing bedding, including similar products to this, personal prefences have tended towards the darker tones of whatever colour where then preferred. Having also had a number of issues with poly-cotton bedware, often but not always from a certain low-end high street chain almost always for convenience and easy local travel.I now rather favour lighter tones, and they do not come much lighter than the very pale blue used in these and the broad white stripes they also feature. The colour is pleasing and the pattern quite neutral and unlikely ever to jar. The quality appears to be good and the fabric is equal or very similar to some of the other 200 thread count cotton bedding, mostly fitted sheets and some pillowcases and which have washed and worn very well. As it is now only being opened and used for the first time, washing experiences do not currently apply.

This duvet was just what I imagined.Loved it.The only problem and the reason I didn't give it a 5 star is that I ordered a King size duvet and the pillow covers came in a regular size not for king size pillows.Other than that it is great quality.

Ha dei bottoni ai piedi che sono comodissimi e tengono fermo il copripiumino, che pero'non va'rimborsato sotto il materasso.Bello veramente... lo consiglio
