Dirt Boot Men's Nylon Chest Wader

Where do I begin in order to do this product justice?Having recently purchased another area of land I ended up with a boating pond which is full of reeds and surface moss. The former owners were clearly either lazy, or did not have the means to employ working class types to keep on top of these things.Anyway I purchased these in order to get my hands dirty – after all it’s a good example to the household staff, and proves to these commoners that you can relate to their daily drudgery.Obviously I have absolutely no intention of making a habit out of it, but it means I can say that I ‘muck in’ every now and again. Therefore I figured that, so long as I stay dry, it is a win win situation.I have to admit that they are extremely sturdy, and after a day paddling about I was suitably protected from the worst that nature could throw at me.They also allow one to get a sweat on, as they are non-permeable, so my socks were soaking wet by the end of it but I presume there is no way around that. Not that I need to worry, as the staff do all of my laundry so it really is no skin off my nose. There are pitfalls as, unlike those council house types who have a wee in the local swimming pool (which they all do), the irony is that in a natural environment one cannot relieve ones bladder whilst sporting this item, as the boots would simply fill up with wee.I suppose the manufacturers could incorporate some kind of one way nappy/valve system, such as I imagine they employ for astronauts when they are busting whilst doing a space walk, but I would suppose that any involvement with NASA personnel would lead to a disproportionate rise in manufacturing costs, and therefore make them rather expensive to purchase.Clearly, as I do not intend to use them regularly, as this may set a poor example to the garden staff and you have to keep these people on their toes, I do not want to throw away good money so this item is definitely a bargain, given my intentions. They are also excellent as a standby fancy dress outfit, should one wish to dress like an inbred yokel or serial killer for a giggle.I should even imagine they would serve well if utilised in a makeshift abattoir, if one fancied getting ones hands dirty at lambing time, but unfortunately the lambs were early this year so that will have to wait. The staff advised me they are also very easy to clean so I would strongly recommend this item, whatever the purpose, and however sinister the motives. I am fairly confident that a good hose down with bleach would also destroy any evidence. They were also handed to the gate staff, who informed me that the delivery boy resembled a young Bruce Willis, who was apparently very polite and clearly knew his place.

Ok for price
These are just ok. They’re great for the price compared to the top of the range ones but I would recommend spending a little more and getting something better. Wellies in feet uncomfortable and a slight bit of leakage. Fit isn’t excellent would be adjustable for a bigger man. Not heavy either

Soles have excellent grip.
Very comfortable and light. The soles for me are the most impressive part of these on these waders. They have excellent grip even on really weedy, slimy bottoms. The have a handy little pocket inside the chest flap, for quick access to essential bits 'n' bobs.I'm a size 9 (UK) and as such ordered a size 9 wader. However, they are slightly on the larger side. If I buy again I will likely try a size 8.All in all, great value for money.

Quality
Very good quality and actually fit my hubbies size 13 feet but unfortunately as he is 6'6" he would not have been able to sit down in them so I had to return them

Pretty good
Pretty good, but the straps/buckles don't always hold very well

You get what you pay for
overall this is a good product.Water proof, fits well and does what you want. Two downsides though.1. The soles of the boots. You might as well be barefoot if you're walking over stones. they're so thin you feel every little pebble. If you have any distance to cover wearing these your in for some pain.2. the strap stitching.Single stitching on the buckles lasted all but 3 fishing trips. leaving me to make a repair with braded line to avoid me going home early.if you buy these, get the sewing kit out and reinforce the stitching ASAP!
