Easy to install and set tension. Very heavy and sturdy. I installed my set on a hollow core interior door and it has no problem shutting and latching even when the door is just a bit. I feel like these would handle the weight of exterior doors without a problem! Will buy again if the need arises!

I purchased these hinges to put on our toilet room door. Our dog constantly raids our trash can and I can't seem to remember to close the door every time. After my wife complained for the 287th time that i didn't close the door I decided we needed and engineering fix for my poor memory. Hinge fit perfectly without any adjustments to the hinge inset (make sure you order the correct size for the door you have) and I was able to install in less than 5 minutes.The instructions to set the tension are not very clear and the pin is held in place by the spring tension. It's been installed for more than a week with no issues so I'm feeling pretty confident the pin will stay in place. With one spring set at medium tension the 24" hollow panel door closes nicely but it does not close all the way or slam. It's perfect for keeping the dog out. If I need a full close I think the extra tension would do it. Worst case, adding the second hinge would easily close the door.I would suggest that you only need one hinge for lightweight doors that don't require to close and latch on their own. Otherwise, plan on using both hinges for each door.

The media could not be loaded. The hinge has slop or play in it but after mounting both hinges I didn’t feel it in the door. I feel like the build quality could be better.You can adjust the tension on the hinges to the amount you want. It’s a cool idea. Easy to install and easy to adjust.

They are effective at keeping our back door shut so that the cats won’t go out.Be aware that they’re a bit thicker than regular hinges so you might have to adjust your door and / or frame to make it work
