Formosa Gunpowder Green Loose Leaf Tea by Simpli-Special for Hot & Iced Tea (100g in Resealable Pouch)

I am so addicted to green tea in the evening. I am not sure what makes me sad most " the lack of wine for my dinner or the green tea before I go to bed" I am surly addicted to both substances. The tea is much better then I but loose from supermarkets. Worth the extra money for the true ritual at the evening. For some reason :) I always end up having half of the a cup full of tea leafs after brewing. I like it so strong. Will recommend to everybody to try as I know that taste is very subjective. Just try it , it will not break your bank.

I bought this to use in a homemade blend for making Thai Iced Tea, as someone suggested it to get the flavour closer to restaurant quality. I haven't tried it yet in that capacity, but my partner has had it as a regular brew and quite enjoys it. She also mentioned that she could see how it would definitely get homemade Thai Tea tasting more like the commercial mix you can buy, so I'm anxious to try it. The only downside is that there's no easy way to open and reseal the package, but that's certainly not a deal breaker. Most people have jars or canisters lying about.

The positives:-Even though I paid for regular delivery, I received the package the next day after ordering.-The tea contains almost no sticks or stems-The taste is mellow with grassy undertones.The negatives:-The tea comes in a double-layer bag of plastic foil on the outside and aluminum foil on the inside. The outside plastic foil ripped as soon as I attempted to open the bag. A simple plastic bag with a seal (like a freezer bag) would have been better.

Delicious! Got some strange looks from my husband (he wasn't sure about me drinking 'Gunpowder'!) but have really enjoyed this. One tablespoon of this in a teapot with a teaspoon or two of brown sugar and a large handful of fresh peppermint leaves. Gave my peppermint tea that extra punch that was needed. Will buy again.

Simpli Special are an excellent company for sourcing really good tea. On opening the packet, the greeness of the tea arouses the senses, and the flavour is refreshing. Don't hesitate, buy it!

Delivery was very swift and great communication re delivery etc.Tea is absolutely gorgeous! Not too much tea is needed, it is quite a strong tea without being overpowering. Leave it to draw for about 10 minutes and it really brings out the taste.If you like green tea, then this is a must!
