Recommended small heater!
Good little heaters. I bought two, one for my therapy room and one for the waiting room. They look unobtrusive, are easy to use and are safe, as do not become excessively hot to the touch. However, they are effective at heating. I like the timer, as I can ensure my unit is nice and warm when I get there. Will find out how much energy they use when I see the electricity bill, but they are well rated for low power usage so I'm hoping it isn't too bad.

Happy with purchase
No complaints about this heater so far. Easy to use and gives out some powerful heat . I have it in my hallway and have it set to come on and off every few hours and an hour before I get up in the morning. Makes my hallway nice and warm and as half the time it is off (via the timer) am hoping that it will work out cheapish to run. Looks decent and is quite light to move around so am happy with purchase so far.

Nice little heater.
Ordered Monday and arrived today, Wednesday. Gave them a quick test and all seems well. These Dimplex heaters are the same internally as three I purchased about twenty five years ago. They are still working well so you can't fault the design. These new ones look very attractive and should blend in well. The steel case is a little thin but should stand up to the odd knock. At the price there is nothing to complain about and a lot to like.****** UPDATE ******Due to a change of residence, I didn't need to use this heater so stored it in the loft. Now the outside temperature has dropped below 30F I noticed the heater in my bedroom was taking half a day to reach 65F. I replaced the old one with the Dimplex today and found it reached toasty level within 45 minutes. I then turned it down to 25% and it has held the temperature at 65F since. The moral of this story is buy a well known brand.

Exactly what I wanted
This was a great buy & good value for money. The heater is light & easily portable & gives out a surprising level of heat for its size. The controls are simple, the warmth can be felt immediately & it makes no noise.

Good but take care fitting feet to unit
Great heater, easy to use, power lead satisfactory length, great simple timer. Downsides- once plugged in and powered up the neon always glows whether heat is on or off, it would be great to see a switch and also an additional neon showing when there is energy applied to the heater element ie when triggered to come on via the timer or thermostat. Other snag that could become dangerous is the poor fitting of both bottom feet. Don’t let this put you off, just be very careful to not overtighten each self-tapping screw when fixing each foot.

Portable emits good heat.
Good heater. When it came the snap on feet had to be attached unfortunately one if them was broken so it has to be moved very carefull. I should have sent it back but we needed the heater there and then. Now I suspect it's too late. The clips on the bottom of the feet are flimsy.

FAB CONVECTOR HEATER
Bought this convector heater for my Mum and she loves it. Her bedroom is north-facing and quite a big room, so can be very cold especially when the weather starts to cool down. Although not a huge heater, it does churn our the heat. Purchased item as it has a timer to turn the heater on when required - first thing in morning for about an hour or so and then again in the evening before she goes to bed so that the room is nice and warm when she goes up. Thinking of buying another one for the breakfast room which is another large room. Brilliant!

The cable is short, so check your requirements
This heater has quite sturdy feet and is simple to operate. The timer is very quiet: you would have to put your ear right next to it to be able to hear it. There is a barely audible hum from the heating elements when the heater is on. Therefore, compared with fan heaters, this is very quiet and would be suitable in a bedroom and would not be annoying when listening to TV or radio. My main criticism, hence 3 stars, is the short length of cable (1.5m), which can severely limit the usefulness of this heater. I bought this heater mainly to keep my garage warm during frosty nights and, having read various reviews, I am not the only one to have bought a heater for this purpose. All the sockets in my garage are about 1.4m high, which means that to be able to plug the heater in, it would have to be right against the wall directly below the socket. The manufacturer should provide an option for different lengths of cable, especially since the advice is that extension leads should not be used. It is not at all easy to fit a longer cable as I did. You would have to be really confident in your abilities to do that. An electrician might be unwilling to do such a fiddly job and the cost would be more than the value of the heater.
