Keeping My Girl: A Dark Mafia Second Chance Romance (Keeping What's Mine Book 2)

I really enjoyed this story line, Nico was an angel. I felt so bad for Selina, she had a shitty life handed to her. I felt like the author did a goo job addressing abuse and trauma, those things do not instantly heal. She did not just move straight into instalove/lust but allowed us to see character building. The plot was really good, and I like how it led into the next book of the series but still had an epilogue.

I have mixed feelings about this book. I loved book 1 in this series and have picked it up several times since reading it when it was released, but this one has left me in a state of question. I had so much hope for it get better, but I felt as if it just dragged on. But I definitely could be biased considering I work with human trafficking victims as my day job, but it just didn't feel real almost.But giving this a 4 star because i love a love story and a HEA and this book gave me that.

This is the second book in the Keeping What’s Mine series. It’s so good! I was not able to put it down till I finished it. The story flows well, the writing is great, and the characters are awesome.This book does deal with how girls feel after being abducted and sold into human trafficking. So there are emotions and thoughts that are tied to that theme.There is also chemistry and steamy scenes. This book ends leaving you waiting for the next one to come out as you want the story to continue.

A recommendation from booktok. Its a decent book. No cheating and a hfn took a few hours to get through

Wow I absolutely couldn’t get enough of Book 1 of this series and I found the same feelings happening in this book about Nicolas , their only Son who’s just as tough and ruthless as his Father when they go after the bad guys and save the tortured souls who have been taken against their will. At first I hesitated, because my first marriage involved a very dark and dangerous man and I was clueless. I was beaten daily and raped by him, unwanted sex whether you’re married or not when it’s forced and cruel is flat out rape. But I’m strong and I ran away from my real life monster with my baby and when he came looking for me, he got a shock of his life when met by my family who were legally armed and ready with dogs. He turned and walked away. I looked over my shoulder for years, but I would fight to the end just as you wrote about Selina. Rape never really goes away you have to channel your anger into exercise and going to a stress room and breaking everything with a bat... but make sure you wear protective clothing they provide and goggles! It’s very therapeutic. Journaling too is amazing therapy. Now onto Book 3 and I hope The Vitale Family can have luck in finding who has taken and bought their daughter Aria.

Tough...Hot.Intense.This story has a nice pace. I could not put it down. It caught me.I can't wait to Aria's book!It is great to hear about Verona's life!I recommend this book

Truly a raw and deep love story. Nico's patience and steadfastness was so endearing. Lina went through so much and the story unraveled so beautifully the ending made me cry. I have really grown to enjoy her books. Thank you for a heartfelt story. Now on to Aria's story.

I adored this story, the characters, the storyline, the fight and attitude of the lead female.I love how its connected and we see characters from book one hereThis is a definite read again for me. And i would recommend it for someone looking for a day read.But read book 1 first. As the plot is all connecting even as a stand alone

I loved the 1st book and so I started this book. I liked the first 80% of the book…but I hate that their family just forgot Aria and celebrated as if nothing happened to her , I mean how could they ? Renata cares about Aria more than her own family. I hated that Verona was arranging the party for Lina when her own daughter has been suffering by god knows what. I’m happy that Nico and Lina got their HEA.. but it would’ve been better if they cared about Aria a little more.

Enjoyed this more than book 1. Selina such a strong woman facing all the trauma she been through and still being able to love. Nico was amazing with her and I really felt their love. Wish Constantine was wiped off rather than just arrested. Could have been explained a little more why he was so obsessed with Selina more than anyone else too. Aria is annoying and can see why she needs to be monitored. She would of known the dangers surround Selina and decided to go out unprotected anyway. I’m glad nico and Selina got their HEA it’s much deserved
