LinexRuler 15cm, Stainless Steel, with Imperial and Metric Markings

A nice compact metal ruler. The scales are nice and clear and there is a hold to hang it up. My only criticism would be the sharp corners at one end, although this does mean you can take precise measurements as the scale on this end runs right to the edge of the ruler.

Strange how something as simple as a piece of steel used to draw lines with can make a massive difference.I bought this because I was sick of the little plastic things where the scale gets scratched off over time till you can't read it any more, and gets stained by even the slightest of inks or graphite. Hopeless is a good word.This though is great, non of the issues I said above and it does look very nice. I'm a major nerd with stuff like this. Very nice quality and price is good considering you can pay a lot for something like this.

This is a sweet little stainless steel ruler from Linex. I’m sure I’ll find it useful in certain circumstances, however I was surprised by a few things that you may find helpful to know before purchase:First thing I noticed was how small the width/height of the ruler was. I also bought the 30cm SS Ruler from Linex at the same time and expected it to be the same width but just 15cm long but that’s not the case (see photo). The 30cm one is more around the width of what you expect from a regular plastic helix ruler but this 15cm one is only 16mm wide. As such it means that it’s also much more flexible and bendy than the 30cm version. Also the numbering and markings are smaller so you need decent eyesight to read easily.The other thing to be aware of is that the edges and particularly the straight end corners are very sharp.I have lots of grades of sandpapers that I use on many items and so I went to work on this ruler to polish the edges just enough to make it less sharp and obviously without affecting the size.The last thing that bothers me is that the ruler has ‘Denmark’ written under the company name Linex on it. This was the reason I went with this brand rather than a random branded ruler from china however on the back of the plastic sleeve that these rulers come in is a sticker with the model number etc and the words ‘Made in China’.All in all it will serve some purpose but I can only recommend it with the above reservations.

Don't snap or crack like plasticky ones. Fit in pencil case and no awkward ridges for my son with Autism who struggles to draw lines when the ruler is not totally flat.

Well what can I say, it's a ruler, a good one. It does have quite sharp corners and you can easily slice an apple with it.

I wasn't expecting too much but this ruler is well made with legible markings and is sturdy. At this price it's a snip

I bought this as a replacement for my lost metal ruler (I use it for calligraphy spacings and paper cutting). This 15cm one is both narrow and thin, so certainly doesn't take up much space! It comes in a plastic holder for protection from scratches which is helpful.My only negative would be that the first 3cm are separated by 0.5mm marker lines. These are actually so close together they're hard to count - partly due to the lack of contrast between the black lines and the shiny/dark grey metal and partly due to the 0.5 and 1mm lines being of fairly similar lengths to one another. The remaining 12cm are more clearly marked at 1mm spacings as usual, so it's not a major problem and certainly won't stop me using it happily.

Just what I needed. Marked up in metric an imperial (of course - you saw the pics right? ;) ).Little to say - except that it's actually square which is more that can be said for some others (check the reviews!)

Dieses Lineal hat mir schon sehr oft gute Dienste geleistet! Die Qualität ist perfekt und vorallem die Umrechnungstabelle auf der Rückseite ist mir stets hilfreich, denn wer weiss denn schon, was z. B. 7/16 oder 19/32 Zoll in Zentimetern ist, ohne groß das Rechnen anfangen zu müssen?!Ich empfehle dieses Lineal uneingeschränkt weiter!

The ends of this rules are extremely sharp. The counter also starts right on the edge of the ruler which makes it very tedious to make lines, the size of the cm available on the ruler. I wasn’t a fan of this at all.
