Overall great product. A little pricey though
I bought this to replace my original adapter that got ruined in a flood. It's an OEM product so it's the same as the original. It works as advertised and it's exactly what I needed. It doesn't come with a C12 power cord though so you'll have to find one on Amazon. Synology doesn't list C12 power cords with the adapter on their website because they just use a generic brand. That's what a support rep told me. So I bought a generic C12 power cord here on Amazon to plug it into. Overall great product. A little pricey though.

This definitely works, and doesn't have power fluctuations
Firstly this does NOT come with a kettle lead and plug, so you need a kettle lead with 5A fuse as well.Unlike other power supplies this is the officially recommended one from Synology, and it does work as it should.I'd tried ones that had identical specs to the original via eBay only to find they had power fluctuations and the NAS would power down every day. This one has stayed powered up for days.Four stars as its very expensive, and doesn't come with a kettle lead/plug, but most importantly it works.

NO AC Power Cord INCLUDED with OVER PRICED supply. STUPID move Synology !!
2 Stars for what is sold and shipped. Read on -Yes, the photo is accurate. Yes you get the power supply, but come on Synology - how the heck can a power supply function IF YOU CANNOT PLUG IT IN? Synology sells a (IMO quite OVERLY priced) "SUPPLY" albeit without an AC power cord? Really? REALLY?? Let's think about this:(a) You want a spare supply to pack away for travel (or as I decided to do following the local Massachusetts Merrimack Valley Natural Ga Explosions and Fires) be able to pull your NAS and beat feet. And if you evacuate and get a supply without an ac power cord how useful is this? Seriously - NO AC POWER CORD?(b) If you have your "Grab-n-Go" bags setup, do you have one AC power cord for each and every device you have with you? So if you included a SPARE Synology $72 Power Supply wouldn't you think it would include an AC Power Cord SO THE SYNOLOGY SUPPLY COULD FUNCTION? Ahhh ... WOULDN'T YOU???OK, so at home yes, we all probably have an AC power cord lying around. But this does NOTHING to mitigate my point that a power supply is NOT a battery (as in a car, flashlight, etc). I bought spare power supplies for a Samsung Laptop and a Dell Laptop. Guess what? each was less than $30 AND EACH INCLUDED AND AC POWER CORD. Synology? NOPE. So beware and be sure to bring a spare AC power cord as Synology is what? too CHEAP for a $& buck supply?
