Titleist have done a fantastic job of being the number 1 golf ball out ...
Usual question.. How does it compare to a Pro V. Titleist have done a fantastic job of being the number 1 golf ball out there, truth is they have been resting on their laurels. This is a better ball (performance wise) no doubt. It's softer and spins more around the greens, distance wise it's slightly longer (this is backed up by launch data). It's also significantly cheaper which doesn't hurt.

Surprisingly good, especially for putting
Coming to these from Hex Blacks I have been pleasantly surprised by these. They have a lovely soft feel reminiscent of old balata balls, especially when putting. If you like soft feel, these are great. Performance wise they spin well, have comparable distance and work well in the wind. They wear very well too.For the price point, I think they are superb and I don't have any desire to go back to the Hex Blacks despite still having a few boxes knocking around.

Good golf balls
I like these golf balls and have been using them for many years as they can usually be obtained at a good price. The only issue I have with them is that although the cover is very durable the ball itself is less so and starts to lose performance even though the cover looks okay. Still okay for several rounds though.

Superb Golf Balls
I’ve bought these a couple of times during promotional periods where they are around £2 a ball. In my view they are just as good as pro v1’s at half the price.

muy buenas bolas.
gran toque con el putt y buen control en golpes de 100 metros, vuelo correcto, en comparación a las bolas de gama alta nada que envidiar.

Chrome Soft, with special Truvis discussion
The Chrome Soft has a distinct feel from other golf balls. It's buttery and has a low compression point. Plus, it's designed not to spin that hard, so it flies pretty long and straight, but is easy to compress into the grooves of wedges for stopping power on the green. I can't back the ball up so I can't comment on that, but backing the ball up isn't desirable when your 7 iron only carries 137 yards. I'm more in need of my ball backing FORWARD.Remember the old Rule 35 ball from Callaway? This ball feels a lot like that, which is good news because I loved that ball and have never found a good replacement. The Chrome Soft is actually an improvement though, because it doesn't scratch and scuff immediately like that older ball did, which almost looked like paint was chipping off after a decently struck wedge.I get good length out of this ball. One week I was hitting longer than my playing partners but the next week a new guy joined us who hadn't played in a while but obviously had a great swing. When he got one in the fairway, his ball was a twelve dollar cab ride ahead of my ball, so the Chrome Soft didn't really knock anyone's socks off that week (I scored lower than he did though). It putts very nicely, like you'd expect from a soft ball. If you tend to "hit" your putts it might help smooth things out.I love it. I played Pro V1 for years, then Speed Regime 1, and now this, and I like it better than both. They're all good balls, but like I say, this one just feels different and offers an almost unreal combination of distance and short-game bite. Balls are personal, though, and it's hard to buy them by the sleeve to test them out. You end up with a box and if you hate them, you chip with that box in the backyard and you're 30 to 50 bucks lighter, depending on the model. Now, for a note on the "Truvis" version: I play both the white one and the "tiled" one. I generally play the white one on par threes and the Truvis on par four and fives, even in the same round (not sure if this is a rules violation, nor do I care). The Truvis ball looks cool. It is NOT easier to find however. It doesn't show up as well at a distance or against grass than a white ball does, and it's certainly not easier to see against fescue or any other junky stuff. But as you're approaching a bunch of balls in your group you know which one is yours, which is convenient because it means you can start planning your next shot sooner. They say it helps focus. Keep in mind that when they asked Ben Hogan which particular part of the ball he focused on when swinging, he said he didn't focus on any of it. The whole hitting area appeared as a blur to him, as his mind's eye focused out toward the target and the picture of it he'd painted in his preshot routine. I'm no Hogan (understatement!) but for me, focusing on the ball causes "ball lock": I end up hitting at the ball instead of swinging through to the target, causing me to release early, skull it, chunk it, and generally build a disdain for my ball instead of a command over it. So I can't speak to whether it helps focus. It is, however, nice that, during chips and putts, you can see how much spin you've imparted to the ball and even whether you stroked a wobbly roll.So to summarize on Truvis, here are the advantages: looks cool, easy to I.D., easy to see spin and roll. The disadvantages: a little harder to find if you're not in the fairway, which in my case means most the time. I like Truvis, but if I find myself in a downward spiral that's morphing into a blow-up round, I switch to the white one. Yellow isn't acceptable, but whatever color you choose, Chrome Soft is a terrific ball and one you can develop a strong playing affinity for. Highly recommended.
