Strong Magnets, Look Great, Work Very Well
Blows my mind that some reviewers think the magnet in this holder is weak! Try it before you install it... you'll have a hard time pulling the two magnets apart! All I can think is they've somehow installed them improperly, possibly not aligned or maybe even with the door magnet contacting the side of the wall unit.I have carpeted wooden floors in my 100 year old house, so there's no problem installing these easily. No sheet rock to worry about, I just put one on the floor or on the baseboard and then open the door and mark where it meets the stop. These are for our double doors that go from the kitchen/dining area into the private area or the guest area, so that the doors only open about 2/3 of the way and hold there solidly, but are easy to grasp and close when so desired. We have spring loaded doors in other areas of the house, but I would not presume to put a magnet holder on those, because when they are full open, the spring is very strong and even these powerful magnets would have a hard time holding them open.I am very pleased with the strength, the appearance and the ease of installation for these. I would NOT put them on a spring door or where they anchor in unsupported sheetrock, but they are perfect for my applications. Use your common sense and you'll love them.

Worth the money and work great
Easy to install. Worked great. Used on both a solid bedroom door and a hollow closet door. Help both great. Was skeptical but they worked as advertised. Would recommend.

Very nice, quality is excellent
Very nice, quality is excellent. Exactly what I needed for doors that creep open. Magnets aren’t too strong, door will bounce open if it contacts magnet too fast. Overall we are pleased.

... greay if you line the two major parts up good. Put the long half on first
Works greay if you line the two major parts up good. Put the long half on first, then put the small part on the magnet and mark the holes on the door.

Keeps my door open perfectly...
I have these on three doors now. My doors are solid pine and these hold them open perfectly. I’d recommend them to anyone whose door doesn’t stay completely open.

Not Bronze
Works well and was relatively easy to install, but the color is nowhere near the bronze I expected - it's actually black.
