Love this travel camera
Bought this as my travel camera. (I have a bigger DSLR that I don't want to carry around on long holidays). Very happy with the solid build and the range of features, but the most important thing for me is the image quality, which is just superb. Smaller and lighter than the Canon G1X that it replaced, with a slightly smaller scanned frame size, I am very happy so far.

Semi pro compact camera
This camera is a replacement for my previous Lumic compact camera a TZ100.The TZ200D is the natural replacement for my previous camera which in all fairness gets a hammering. The TZ100 is a fantastic camera and I can only assume the TZ200D will be the same. The reason I have upgraded, I'm going on a far east cruise and I want a light weight camera to carry around with me. I know the quality of the TZ100 and the I know the TZ200 will be the same. I've had the TZ100 since 2018 so now getting on in age. I consider myself an experienced photographer of camera club standard, I like to think I know my cameras. By the way I also use a DSLR Nikon camera.

Amazing zoom. Great images in good light. Struggles in low light. Get a spare battery
£710 at time of reviewThe one real stand out feature of this camera is the lens… for a start it’s by Leica, so you know optically it will be top notch, but the killer is the zoom, 24mm to 360mm is a lot! Although personally I think they would be better to make it start at 20mm and go up to 300mm, you can crop to 360mm but you can’t make your photo wider! On a bright sunny day this camera creates sharp clear photos, in low light I find it creates quite lot of digital noise in the shot, yes it’s possible to remove (mask), a lot of it using software such as Lightroom, but this isn’t aimed at folks using Lightroom.I’m really not sure who this camera is aimed at… considering how great mobile phone cameras are nowadays and all the additional image processing they can perform, it’s no wonder the compact camera market has taken a hammering… plus £700 is a reasonable amount of money, so you want bang for your buck, is this worth the outlay? should you spend a bit more and step up to a mirrorless camera?I’ve been using SLR cameras for over 40 years still have my Canon AE1, but nowadays I predominately use Sony Mirrorless, but I’ve been a fan of the Lumix brand for years so to have a chance to take this one for a spin the past few weeks has been interesting.I do have a natural bias towards Sony’s as I have gotten used to their interfaces and ways of working, so initially I was frustrated with the Lumix, but once I used it a bit more I started to get the hang of it, although I still find I miss shots now and again… I also find the focus speed a bit slow (although I’m used to using a camera that costs several thousands, so not a fair comparison), but even still I found it frustrating at times, especially in low light.Hope my review was helpful

Brilliant
Brilliant camera by Panasonic, this great Lumix comes with a Lecia lens, probably one of the best in the world. Very realistic price considering the fantastic build quality. Very fast delivery, and highly recommended.

Fiddly controls, intermittent Bluetooth/wifi connection, fringing on zoom
Really wanted to find a compact zoom that was easy to take out rather than lugging around my SLR with several lenses. The camera is a handy size and weight and easy to hold, but…..Touch screen is very sensitive and you can spend ages trying to work out why features are not available only to realise you’ve inadvertently switched modes by catching something on the touch screen.Full zoom quality is poor with terrible fringing.Transferring to your phone is a real pain. When it works it’s quick and simple, but 70% of the time the camera will not connect until I switch off both camera and phone and restart.I’ve been taking photographs in a semi professional capacity for nearly 30 years so do understand the fundamentals and technology but this camera is trying to be all things to all men and really not succeeding well in doing any.

Good compact camera
This is a very good compact camera, whether you use it outdoors or indoors. I believe that this camera is ideal for the industry of influencers and all the people that are working with social media photos and videos. What is amazing about this camera is the lens which I never expected to have in a compact light camera. The zoom is spectacular and impressive.I wanted to add a couple of photos to my review but some personal technical issues won't allow me just yet.It has a little complicated menu but is easier to navigate with the touch screen which works great. If you are not a professional photographer (neither I am) you might need some good time to search over all the capabilities of this camera. The battery is not lasting as much as I would want it to, so I suggest you might want to get an extra battery.I found that the hand strap can be added on either side of the camera to help out if you are left-handed. I found this detail amazing. What I didn't like is that for that amount of money at £708.58 at the moment, the camera comes without even a small basic memory card which is absolutely necessary in order to use the camera. That would cost an extra £3 for Panasonic. It also does not include a case that would protect immediately such an expensive camera. That would probably cost another £10 for Panasonic. So in an already expensive camera, if the company could see ahead and add a couple of accessories that would cost really nothing, they could provide a first-class experience to the customer but they didn't.For me, that's bad marketing. But again, I am only a reviewer.
