Mars Lumograph Set of 12 Sketching Pencils In Metal Tin : Softlead Pencils (8B to 2H)

I like these especially for drawing - they are the best pencils I have used. they blend and work well.I was recommended them by an art teacher and was glad to have tracked them down on Amazon

I've not had a chance to sharpen them as yet but my initial impressions are 'a bit meh'. They come in a nice time, well presented -the 8B does not compare very well against either the Derwent graphics or Faber 9000 equivalent -I don't love them and I don't hate them.I can see that they do well as a 'starter set' but price wise they sit above other introductory sets. I found very little differentiation between the individual grades. I think they are good quality pencils, not artist grade and therefore a bit over priced for what they are.

I bought them for my art work and they are great, wish I’d had them long ago.
