The Next Beat is a solid controller that is designed with a beginner in mind and for some one who may not have all the usual gear that comes with being a DJ. No sound system? No problem. The Next Beat integrates with your laptop via usb (usb-c adapter included. I also appreciated the RCA main outs, as most beginner DJs aren’t going to have 1/4” or XLR cables lying around). There is also mobile device functionality, which I have not played with yet. The Next Beat is plug-and-play by design and the wide range of tutorials included with your Next Beat purchase cover everything an aspiring DJ would need to know to get to mixing.The controller it’s self looks pretty in the dark, with multicolor pads for loops, cues, etc. The job wheels and pitch slider respond well, and I really liked how the volume sliders felt - not too loose, not too firm.This is a well designed controller, and it comes with everything you need to get started mixing tracks!

As a complete beginner, I had no idea what to look for in a proper DJ controller and (mistakingly) did no research, buying into The Next Beat's flashy marketing. Unfortunately, after using the device it's clear that it relies heavily on the sensationalistic & emotional marketing rather than the merit of it's features.The truth is, the price point is far too high for what it brings to the table. Products from competitors, who have been innovating in the game far longer than the company which produced this, offer far more advanced features for the same price and lower. About The Next Beat itself- the whole build feels very plastic and almost flimsy- much like a children's toy. I also found the "tutorials" to be very lackluster- not even longer than an hour total and very surface level; nothing that will guide you to your "first gig". I also found it quite strange how they advertise the Beatport 30 day free trial, even though you can get a free trial regardless of your purchase.That's not to say it's a waste, though, as it integrates excellently with Djay and offers enough to produce a solid, smooth mix. However, if you are interested in DJing professionally, The Next Beat is a poor long-term investment for those wanting to use more advanced techniques. If it still seems like a decent fit for your needs- please buy a second-hand device; there are many people like me who had the same thoughts.

The media could not be loaded. Great DJ controller for less than $300 for beginners or bedroom DJ's that want to experience DJ mixing without breaking the bank. I love how it's compatible with Windows and Mac (I have both) and comes with a free trial version of Beatport. If you don't have a big music library, don't worry - Beatport has millions of tracks to mix with. One thing that stands out over most controllers is the backlit jogwheel and how easy it is to use and it also works with Virtual DJ!!!!!As a professional DJ with 20+ years in the business, it's a great startup DJ controller to anyone thinking about pursuing a DJ career. Oh, there are tutorial DJ videos included so you can get up and running comfortably in a couple of hours with ZERO experience (very helpful).Overall, the Next Beat by Tiesto DJ controller seems to be a solid choice for beginners and intermediate level DJs who are looking for a compact and portable controller with an intuitive layout. While it may not have all the features of more advanced controllers, it should be more than enough for most DJs starting out. I can't wait for it to be compaitble with Serato then I will definely use it for my smaller gigs but for now, I'm really enjoying my new DJ controller at home and the free 30 day trial of Beatport!

This is a nice controller for anyone thinking about getting into DJ'ing or for anyone looking for a travel-sized controller that's easy to take to the beach or on trips. It has a good base set of features you'd expect for the price point, and more so.I also have the older DDJ-400, and is smaller in comparison and lacks the same level of FX controls that TNB does. The Next Beat controller feels pretty rigid, and the bluetooth feature makes the portability aspect that much more cool - no need to drag a laptop to the beach to spin some tunes with friends!Included in the box is a USB power adapter (can also power from a portable power supply too), USB A to B cable, RCA audio cables, and literature and voucher code for redeeming on the website.

Looks awesome coming out of the box ! Color coding on the buttons that light up is cool! Has a great feel to it - not too big not too small ! Perfect for the mobile or beginner dj !
