Knitter's Pride-Cubics Deluxe Special Interchangeable Needle

I received this set of needles for Christmas and am very pleased with the needles themselves. They do have a small problem that I've encountered in many of my interchangeable needle sets -- the needle unscrewing itself from the cable (usually at the worst moment). Problem is easily fixed by inserting the cable pin and rescrewing the needle. Be firm! (Note: a safety pin or paperclip can serve as a cable pin in a pinch.)I am disappointed in one aspect of the set. Wouldn't it be great if Knitter's Pride provided a connector/coupler so both cables could be connected, resulting in a longer needle?!

I was using a very slippery yarn, and my hands were cramping trying to hold onto it with my round metal needles. I have wanted to try square needles for some time, and needed more grip with the slippery yarn, so I ordered this set of wooden needles. I love a very pointy needle, and these don't disappoint. Not as pointy as my Hiyahiya Sharps (see picture), but pretty close. No breakage so far, and I'm trying to be careful, especially when twisting on/off the cords. No cramps in my hands after hours of knitting (yay!), no slipping and sliding, and the points are perfect for decreases. I'm very happy!

I have been a huge fan of Knitter's Pride needles for a few years. I love the Carbonz sets and use them daily. I had also purchased a wood cubics set of long tips which I also enjoyed knitting with. When I decided to get a set of short tips I was happy to see this set available. I didn't use the needles until a couple of months after I purchased them. What a mistake since I am past the 30 day return policy!These needles are horrible! The first time I used them they snapped at the metal join. I think there is a fatal flaw in the design here. The wood is not strong enough on the short tips to take the tension of a small project.I would not recommend.I went directly to Knitter's Pride with this problem since they say that they back their product. It has been over a week and I have not heard from them. I am quite disappointed by this. It may be time to go back to trusty Addi's.I will update when I hear from Knitter's Pride and will report how they handled this problem. I hope they turn out to be the kind of stand up company I thought they were.UPDATE: I am happy to say that Knitter's Pride pulled through! They sent me replacement needles that I am very happy with. They make so many great products, it is too bad that this one doesn't measure up. That can happen with any company. I judge a company by their customer service and Knitter's Pride measures up.

I have several sets of these, not just the interchangeable but the double points. So easy on my hands because they are easier to grip!

Cubic needles are very comfortable to use and produce clean, even stitches. While I had read some reviews about breakage, it seemed that they were from some time ago and that the manufacturing problem had been corrected. Fast-forward to a couple of hours into a loosely knit hat on size 7s. When the right needle began to feel rough and catch the yarn, I stopped to take a look. The wood had completely cracked through and was being held together by my remaining stitches. It appears the wood in these sets is laminated in a way that makes the needles unstable if a join lands in the wrong place—you can see residue of some kind of adhesive between the broken segments. So disappointed, and not willing to risk it again with a replacement set!

These needles are perfect for small circumference items and produce beautiful unform stitches and are very comfortable to use!

I bought this needles to try out because I have difficulty holding on to round needles because of arthritis. This needles arelighter and easier on my hands . I have to get use to a square needles but Think this will work out well for me..RFeb.6,2015I have been using this Knitters pride interchangeable needles fo two years now . I love the needles. The connections are smoothHolds on tightly. I love using it for Lacey patterns. It is easier to hold specially for my arthritic hands. The needles are well made, The short tip goes well with the 16 inch cord length of the cordLydia

These are very easy to use and so convenient. The tips are nicely tapered for easy knitting. I use lots of fine yarns and sometimes needles are hard to use if they are not sufficiently tapered at the ends. These are wonderful and feel great even with hands suffering with arthritis. These will please!
